Anima–January Rescue and Sad News (SPP1990-Bongo)!

<31-01-2018> SPP1990-Bongo (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima already dead on 31th January 2018, after a call from our staff reporting that a dog body was found near our entrance. SPP1990-Bongo was under our Special Protection Program since 29th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a dog was found unable to move in a site. SPP1990-Bongo had a fight and needed few stitches to close up the wound. He was returned to his place after surgery and medication prescribed. Ms. Peng was responsible for him in that area. We collected the body to be delivered to Macau kennel. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–January Sad News (SPP1986-Midian)!

<29-01-2018> SPP1985-Marika (F), around four years old, SPP1986-Midian (M) and SPP1987-Miner (M), both around two years old, SPP1988-Miles (M), around one year old, SPP1989-Milton (M), around four months old, were under our Special Protection Program, after rescued by Anima on 28th January 2018, by a call from Ms. Lo reporting that she used to feed stray dogs in an area but some of them seems sick recently. SPP1986-Midian was diagnosed to have distemper yesterday. He was staying in the clinic for closed observation, quarantine and treatment. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it. R.I.P. my friend! January Rescue and Sad News (SPP1985-SPP1989)!

<28-01-2018> SPP1985-Marika (F), around four years old, SPP1986-Midian (M) and SPP1987-Miner (M), both around two years old, SPP1988-Miles (M), around one year old, SPP1989-Milton (M), around four months old, under our Special Protection Program now, were rescued by Anima on 28th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Lo reporting that she used to feed stray dogs in an area but some of them seems sick recently. SPP1985-Marika was found under a car and looked unconscious, the others have nasal and ocular discharges with coughing. She was sent to a clinic immediately and the distemper test showed positive. According to the vet, there’s nothing we could do for her as the virus already attacked her nervous system, brain and spinal cord. SPP1985-Marika started having convulsions, seizures and paralysis. Anima–January Sad News (C1511-Olsen)!

<27-01-2018> C1511-Olsen (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on the 2nd May 2017, after a call from Ms. Kan, reporting that Olsen entered in the terrace of her building at Jardins de Lisboa. She asked us to help. C1511-Olsen was not easy to catch. We set up a cat trap there as C1511-Olsen could fall down if we try to catch him as he was scared. Ms. Kan contacted us on 2nd May informing that C1511-Olsen entered in the trap. C1511-Olsen was brought to Anima, checked and de-wormed. He stayed with us since that day. C1511-Olsen was found getting skinny one week ago. Blood test showed that he had infection and anemia. He had been under treatment but his condition was getting worse. C1511-Olsen was sent to a clinic three days ago and he had stayed there to continue the treatment. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it. R.I.P. my friend! Please help...

Anima–January Sad News (C1756-Fedora)!

<24-01-2018> The mother cat C1756-Fedora (F) was rescued by Anima on 10th November 2017, after a call from IACM reporting that they don't have enough space for the cats. C1756-Fedora had fever, nasal and ocular discharge problems at that time. Our staff found four pre-mature kittens C1779-Ducati, C1780-Aprilia, C1781-Benelli and C1782-Garelli in her cage on 18th November 2017. However, Fedora did not look like pregnant when she entered our shelter. Her condition had been on and off since that. She refused to eat and always had severe nose discharge. She had been staying in the clinic for treatment. According to the clinic, she had ringworm, dehydration, an eye infection and cat flu. C1756-Fedora was diagnosed with parvo virus on 19th January. Her condition was getting worse. As she began to enter in suffer, after discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision...

Anima–January Rescue and Sad News (SPP1406-Money)!

<24-01-2018> SPP1406-Money (F), was rescued by Anima already dead on 24th January 2018. SPP1406-Money was under our Special Protection Program since 7th February 2015, when she was around 4.5 years old, and  lived in a friendly association, somewhere in Coloane. We were informed that SPP1406-Money was sick on 7th December 2017. Blood test showed that SPP1406-Money had parasitic infections and she might also had kidney problems. She was sent to a clinic for second opinion. SPP1406-Money had skin problem, heart problem and little fluid in her lung. She stayed in the clinic for treatment since then. She got better and was returned to her place. We were informed that SPP1406-Money has escaped from her place and was killed by a truck. We collected the body to be delivered to Macau kennel. Anima–January Sad News (C1563-Daisy)!

<22-01-2018> C1563-Daisy (F) and C1564-Dan (M), were rescued by Anima on 29th May 2017, when they were around 10 months old and around two years old, respectively, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. They were neutered and vaccinated by IACM. They were delivered to Anima Cats’ Paradise and they stayed in our free area. C1563-Daisy was found unable to move and lying on the ground. She was put under dripping immediately. Blood test showed that she had anemia, pancreatitis, kidney and liver problem. She was very weak, dehydrated and has difficult to breathe. Anima–January Sad News (C1808-Sliver)!

<22-01-2018> C1805-Sila (F), C1806-Silja (F), C1807-Suki (F) and C1808-Sliver (M), were rescued by Anima on 14th December 2017, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. They were all desexed by IACM and delivered to our Cats' Paradise. He started getting sick since 15th January and had been under treatment. C1808-Sliver was put under dripping yesterday as he refused to eat. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it, and the cause of death is upper respiratory infection. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–January Sad News (C1815-Lenna)!

<16-01-2018> C1815-Lenna (F), was rescued by Anima on 30th December 2017, when she was around three months old, after a call from Mr. Cheng reporting that a kitten was found dying in his building of Edificio San Mei On. C1815-Lenna was very weak with head tilt, drooling, and both eyes had an infection. She was sent to a clinic immediately. She needed to stay in the clinic overnight for observation. According to the clinic, she was diagnosed with cat flu, herpes virus and later infected with parvovirus. We were informed by the clinic that there was nothing much they could do for C1815-Lenna. As she began to enter in suffer, after discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep.
