Anima–July Sad News (894-Jessica)!

<01-07-2017> Our 894-Jessica became sick and had been staying in our vet area for some days. She was taking medication but she didn’t improve at all and began to enter in suffer! After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima–July Rescue and Sad News (C1624-Cairo)!

<01-07-2017> C1624-Cairo (M), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 1st July 2017, after a call from our rescue team reporting that a cat body was found in a site of Coloane during their daily  feeding. The body was destroyed. We collected the body to be delivered to Macau kennel. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-June Sad News (C1598-Quy)!

<24-06-2017> C1598-Quy (M), on the time around three days old, was rescued by Anima on 15th June 2017, after a call from Ms. Lee, informing that a cat was found in Rua do Tarrafeiro. She collected C1598-Quy as it was raining. She asked us to help. C1598-Quy was checked by our vet and fostered by our assistant supervisor Ms. Peng temporarily as he needed milk feeding. His spirit was not good since yesterday but still willing to drink milk. Unfortunately he passed away this morning. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-June Sad News (171-Ninfa)!

<24-06-2017> 171-Ninfa (F), with an estimated age of eleven years old now, was found passed away this morning in her pen, and the cause of death was heart disease. Anima–June Sad News (C1176-Domina)!

<23-06-2017> C1176-Domina (F), on the time around six years old, was rescued by Anima on 26th April 2016, after a call from Mr. Ho reporting that he had been taking care of Domina for five years in a warehouse, but he didn’t want her anymore as she always pees on his goods. He asked if we could collect her. We lent a container to Mr. Ho and Domina was caught and delivered to Anima. Domina had been under treatment since 16th June 2017 as she was getting skinny and dehydrated. She had FIP, gingivitis and breathing sonorous. She was taking medication but she didn’t improve at all and begin to enter in suffer! After discussion with our vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Anima–June New Cats Born and Sad News (C1605, C1606)!

<20-06-2017> C1565-Gretel (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on the 30th May 2017, after a call from Mr. Oscar, from Anihelp, informing that they rescued a cat in Nam Van area and the cat was unable to move. The cat was sent to a clinic for consultation and for an X-rays. The result showed that her pelvis was fractured. No surgery was needed as she could recover by herself, in around one month to 1.5 months and she must stay in a cage for limitation of movements according to the vet. C1565-Gretel was brought to Anima and was staying in our V6. Today two dead fetus, C1605-Goss and C1606-Grital were found in her cat litter box. C1565-Gretel will be under close observation now. Anima–June Sad News (C707-Corinne)!

<20-06-2017> C707-Corinne (F), with an estimated age of  four years old now, was rescued by Anima on 3rd May 2014, as she was very skinny and dehydrated. Corinne had jaundice and had been under IV dripping since last week. She was breathing hard, no strength to move and not eating. Blood test showed she had renal failure. She was taking medication but she didn’t improve at all and begin to enter in suffer! After discussion with our vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Anima–June Sad News (C1353-Hyper)!

<19-06-2017> C1353-Hyper (M), on the time with an estimated age of one year old, was rescued by Anima on 11th December 2016, after a call from Mr. Yung, reporting that a cat was trapped in a rat glue in Rua Dois do Bairro da Areia Preta. Hyper was checked by our vet and dewormed and the hair that had glue was shaved as well. He was transferred to our Cats’ Paradise in the next day. C1353-Hyper was found dead this morning without a visible cause. Shelters are not the appropriate place for cats, specially when there are hundreds of cats and few people handling the shelter . Anima has only four handlers for around 200 cats (for cleaning, giving food, checking and grooming) and in case of any spread of a virus it is very difficult  to detect it earlier in advance! Anima–June Sad News (C1599-Wasson)!

<19-06-2017> C1599-Wasson (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 15th June 2017, after a call from Mr. Chou, informing that a cat was found in Rua da Pedra, Coloane, and his hind legs were paralyzed. A student found him that morning and put him in a box but left him on the sideway, so Mr. Chou decided to bring C1599-Wasson to Cats’ Paradise for help. C1599-Wasson was checked by our vet, de-wormed and sprayed with Frontline. His both hind legs were paralyzed and he had to be massaged for urinate. He was taken to a clinic that referred that may be his situation was congenital but after some extra checking it was noted that there were several bites already closed in Wasson that could be done by dogs. Anima–June Sad News (C1592-Apollo)!

<19-06-2017> C1519-Alma (F) and C1520-Allie (F), around two years and one year old, respectively, were rescued by Anima on the 9th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, reporting that she took them home the day before and has asked us if we could take to Anima all the cats she feeds in Guia as she found many have been poisoned there. They were brought to Anima, checked by our vet and de-wormed. C1519-Alma has severe gingivitis and upper respiratory problems and was pregnant. She was breathing hard with yellowish nasal discharge and was dehydrated. She was staying in V8 under treatment. C1591-Aliana (F), C1592-Apollo (M) and C1593-Ayden (M) were born by C1519-Alma on 11th June 2017. C1593-Ayden passed away after born. Today C1592-Apollo passed away around 6pm due to hard breathing.
