Anima–April Rescue and Sad News (C1475-Mano)!

<01-04-2017> C1475-Mano (M), with an estimated age of six months, was rescued by Anima, after a call from Mr. Chan, informing that a cat was hit by a car in Rua da Cordoaria. C1475-Mano was checked by out vet. He was paralyzed, very weak, having difficulty in breathing, with blood nasal discharge, panting and in deep pain, many bone fractures and several holes in the body showing the intestines. There was no way to save him without putting him in more serious pain. After discussion with our vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! Thanks Mr. Chan! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–March Rescue and Sad News (1867-Livree)!

<28-03-2017> 1867-Livree (M), with an estimated age of three months old, was rescued by Anima already dead on 28th March 2017, after a call from our rescue team informing that the dead body of 1867-Livree was found on the trail to A-Ma Cultural Village when they were working there. No notice of other puppies nearby. The body was collected to Anima to be delivered to Macau kennel. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima- March Sad News (C819-Miguel)!

<08-03-2017> C819-Miguel (M) was rescued by Anima on 23rd October 2014, after a call from Mrs. Gina. Mrs. King was the volunteer used to feed cats every day in that area. The test of FECV of C819-Miguel was positive. On that time we decided that we will not rescue healthy cats in the streets as they will live in more danger situation with us as they are not caged and they share the same litters. In a shelter, a virus can kill easily more animals than outside! C819-Miguel came again from our Cats’ Paradise on 3rd March 2017 for consultation as he has cat flu. He was also vomitting dark colour liquid since Monday and was having bloody and yellowish colour diarrhea. He passsed away on 8th March 2017, at around 17:45! R.I.P. my friend! Anima–March Sad News (SPPC1314-Forever)!

<08-03-2017> SPPC1314-Forever (F), eight years old, under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima through Michele, on 20th October 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Forever had upper respiratory infection. She stayed in Anima under medication. However, on 8 March 2017, we found her dehydrated, with a big belly and in pain. Her renal disease seemed getting worse. She had hypothermia, was lying in the floor and not moving. She was in deep pain. Following the suggestion of our vet and with two board members approval we decided to euthanize Forever, as she was already in pain and we were not able to help her. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–March Sad News (C1446-Cherry)!

<07-03-2017> C1446-Cherry (F), with an estimated age of two years old, was rescued by Anima on 6th March 2017, after a call from Mr. Wu reporting that he found in Museum of Macau and the cat is very weak. He asked us to help. Cherry was checked. She was dehydrated, with nasal and ocular discharge, bloody diarrhea and low temperature. In spite of our efforts, she passed away around 17:30. Anima–New Born and Sad News (C1441 to C1445)!

<06-03-2017> C1400-Korsak (M), with an estimated age of five months old, together with C1401-Kitman (F), with an estimated age of two years old, were rescued by Anima on 25th January 2017, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that her neighbor passed away and left some cats and no one was taking care of them. There was a hole in the door of the flat and the cats can come out and search for food. Ms. Peng and the neighbors set up a trap to catch them. C1386-Tebbie was caught on 18th January, C1399-Scottie was caught on 23rd January. They were checked by our vet and dewormed, Kitman was pregnant already. C1441-Advocado, C1442-Kiwi, C1443-Watermelon, C1444-Currant and C1445-Tangor were born on 6 March 2017 by C1401-Kitman. C1441-Advocado was deceased already when being born. R.I.P. my friend! Anima – March Sad News (C1233-Eliana)!

<02-03-2017> C1233-Eliana (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 9h July 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that there were three cats living in the car park of Nam Sun Garden Building. C1230-Mat and C1231-Mateo, kittens of Eliana, were rescued one day before. Eliana lived with us up to now! C1233-Eliana was found deceased by the handler this morning. She had a long history of recurring Upper Respiratory Tract Infections, Stomatitis and Gingivitis since she was rescued. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima – March Sad News (C1178-Kelly)!

<02-03-2017> C1178-Kelly (F), was rescued by Anima on 27th April 2016, being around three years old, after a call from an old lady reporting that she was severely injured by her cat Kelly at home and she had to stay in hospital for two days. She took care of Kelly for two years already, but according to her Kelly was aggressive from the first beginning, and she didn’t want Kelly anymore because of that reason. Our rescue team arrived her apartment and found Kelly locked inside the bathroom. However Kelly escaped when the door was opened. The lady informed us that Kelly showed up again and Kelly was picked up by our rescue team and lived with us up to now. C1178-Kelly was found anemic, heart rate excessively fast and very dehydrated. Anima-March Sad News (C1423-Paprika)!

<01-03-2017> C1406-Karen (F), was rescued by Anima on 29th January 2017, when she was around two years old, after a call from Ms. Koo reporting that she used to feed two cats in Hellen Garden and one of them was injured. The injured one, C1402-Kirin, was rescued on 25th January 2017. He was attacked by a new cat over there. His eye was swollen with watery blood coming out. He was checked by our vet and dewormed. The left eye lid got a long cutting wound and four stitches were required to close it up. He has stayed with us under close observation and medication. We set up a trap and the sibling, C1406-Karen, was caught on 29th January 2017. Karen was staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise. She got pregnant before we caught her.
