Anima–New Born and Sad News (C1438, C1449, C1450)!

<28-02-2017> C1424-Carla (F), was rescued by Anima on 12th February 2017, when she was around eight months old, after a call from Ms. Mary reporting that a cat was trapped in the terrace of a building at Rua de Francisco Xavier Pereira. Carla got pregnant before entered Anima. Today  morning time, three kittens, C1438-Max, C1449-Leo and C1450-Lucy, were born by Carla prematurely. Unfortunately they couldn’t survive. Anima-February Sad News (C1427-Leona)!

<27-02-2017> C1427-Leona (F), was rescued by Anima on 20th February 2017, when she was around few days old, after a call from Ms. Lam reporting that a kitten was inside a plastic bag in Rua Oeste do Mercado de São Domingos. Leona had hypothermia from time to time since rescued. She was fostered by our Supervisor Zoe temporarily as she needed milk feeding. Today Leona had an eye infection and was checked by our vet. Later in the evening she had difficulty to breathe and unfortunately she passed away around 9:30 pm during the night. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-February Sad News (C1422-Chili)!

<26-02-2017> C1406-Karen (F), was rescued by Anima on 29th January 2017, when she was around two years old, after a call from Ms. Koo reporting that she used to feed two cats in Hellen Garden and one of them was injured. The injured one, C1402-Kirin, was rescued on 25th January 2017. He was attacked by a new cat over there. His eye was swollen with watery blood coming out. He was checked by our vet and dewormed. The left eye lid got a long cutting wound and four stitches were required to close it up. He has stayed with us under close observation and medication. We set up a trap and the sibling, C1406-Karen, was caught on 29th January 2017. Karen was staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise. She got pregnant before we caught her. Two kittens, C1422-Chili and C1423-Paprika, were born by her on 11th February 2017. They were fostered temporarily by our staff...

ANIMA –Sad News of February (317-Trufa)!

<21-02-2017> Trufa has left us on 21st February 2017! 317-Trufa (F), that should be today around 10 years and seven months old, was adopted by Claudia on 28 May 2014. Claudia was her former foster parent from 22nd November 2013! Unfortunately when she was out, as foster parent, Trufa got caught by a car after escaping from her family, when they were walking her in the streets of Macau. Trufa was fighting for her life in Macau, after the accident, as she was not able to pee and poo by herself and she had to submit to daily treatment of around two to three hours of physiotherapy plus a daily bath. Claudia adopted Trufa after the accident. This was a courageous decision of care and love! As she was in Portugal, she assumed a very difficult decision to have her back. <22-02-2017> H013-Grape (M), was rescued by Anima on 23rd September 2016, after a call from Ms. Gina referring that a student couldn’t take care of her hamster anymore as her mother didn’t allow her to keep him. Grape was staying with us safety. Please discuss with all of your family members before you get a pet! Once you have a pet, it’s a commitment until the end of their life. Anima-February Sad News (111-Ben)!

<22-02-2017> 111-Ben (M), with an estimated age of twelve years old now, has passed away this morning. Ben had renal failure, eczema and diarrhea. His condition was on and off since long time ago. He couldn’t urinate by himself as he was not able to move. He was in pain and struggling to take the medication yesterday. Ben was one of our eldest dogs that had stayed with us for so long. He loved eat! If  you have food in your hand, for sure he would show up in the next second in front of you. We will miss you! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-February New Born and Sad News (C1426-Dawn)!

<18-02-2017> C1421-Saniya (F), was rescued by Anima on 10th February 2017, when she was around one year old, after a call from Mr. Lo reporting that he used to feed cats in a place of Macau and there was a female cat that got pregnant. Saniya was checked by our vet and dewormed. She was staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise. One kitten, C1426-Dawn, was found miscarried by her today. Saniya was sent to a clinic as she needed a cesarean surgery to remove the rest of the kittens. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-February Sad News (982-Zima)!

<18-02-2017> 982-Zima (F), with an estimated age of 4.5 years old now, was rescued by Anima on 14th February 2013, after a call from Ms. Eszter reporting that a dog was found in Ka-Ho. Zima was  getting slim. She was diagnosed in the last stage of kidney failure,  was very weak, dehydrated, skinny and was vomiting and has bloody diarrhea in the past two days. She entered in pain and began to suffer! There was not much we could do for her. After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Anima–February Rescue and Sad News (1857-Kalina)!

<16-02-2017> 1857-Kalina (F), with an estimated age of five months old, was rescued by Anima already dead on 16th February 2017, after a call from the Traffic Department reporting that a dog was hit by a motorcycle in front of Restaurant Miramar. Unfortunately Kalina passed away before we arrived. Her body was collected to Anima to be delivered to Macau kennel. R.I.P. my friend! Thanks Traffic Department! Please help us to help them! Anima-February Sad News (C552-Serena)!

<12-02-2017> C552-Serena (F), was rescued by Anima on 20th July 2013, after a call from Fatima reporting that a cat needed our help. Serena was found getting skinny and dehydrated one week ago. She was under medication and observation since that. She had hypothermia, the mouth smelled, the gum line was red as well. Most of the premolar and molar teeth on the upper right got removed. The upper left and the two upper canine teeth got thick tartar and had infection. Unfortunately she was found passed away this afternoon due to liver problem. R.I.P. my friend!
