Anima-January Sad News (C829-Donna)!

<07-01-2017> C829-Donna (F), with an estimated age of four years old now, together with C830-Dottie (F), were rescued by Anima on 28th October 2014, after a call from Ms. Ng asking our help and reporting that she found two cats outside her shop at Rua Dois do Bairro da Areia Preta. Donna was found sick recently and had been staying in the clinic since 2nd January 2017. She was getting skinny and severe dehydrated. The breathing was not clear, coughing with nasal and eye discharge. She was diagnosed with mycoplasma positive. Her condition was getting worse even with treatment. She was in suffer already! After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! Anima–January Sad News (SPPC1373-Greet)!

<03-01-2017> SPPC1373-Greet (F), with an estimated age of eight years old, was under our Special Protection Program (SPP), and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 2nd January 2017, somewhere in Taipa. Greet was found dying and had severe dehydration, has been sent to a clinic immediately. She was under IV fluid overnight but was too weak to make it. Greet passed away in the clinic this morning. Anima–January Rescue and Sad News (C1372-Yaki)!

<02-01-2017> C1372-Yaki (F), with an estimated age of five months old, was rescued by Anima already dead on the 2nd January 2017, after a call from Ms. Chau reporting that a kitten was found dying in Rua Das Estalagens. Unfortunately Yaki passed away before our rescue team arrived. We collected the body and delivered to Macau kennel. R.I.P. my friend! Thanks Ms. Chau! Please help us to help them! Anima-December Sad News (C304-Wilder)!

<29-12-2016> C304-Wilder (F), was rescued by Anima on 25th November 2011, after a call from Michele reporting that a cat needed our help somewhere in Taipa. Wilder was found severely dehydrated and skinny few days ago. She was sent to a clinic immediately. She had hypothermia, heart rate was fast, breathing was not clear and the lung was not working well. She was staying in the clinic for treatment. Anima-December Sad News (C1346-Kara)!

<29-12-2016> C1346-Kara (F), was rescued by Anima on 30th November 2016, with an estimated age of three years old, after a call from Mr. Ferreira reporting that a cat needed our help. According to Mr. Ferreira, his friend had over ten dogs and one cat at home, but his friend disappeared suddenly and the contract of the apartment finished on 1st December. Mr. Ferreira also mentioned that his friend didn’t treat the animals well. Most of his dogs were adopted already and only one dog and one cat was not. The last dog was picked up by another animal welfare association and we took over the cat. Kara was checked by our vet and dewormed. She was found very weak this morning and was sent to a clinic immediately. We found that her abdomen was severely infected that we couldn’t do anything to help. Anima-December Sad News (C335-Pinta Preta)!

<29-12-2016> C335-Pinta Preta (F), was rescued by Anima on 12th April 2012, after a call reporting that a cat needed our help. The owner of Pinta Preta passed away and no one could take care of her. Pinta Preta refused to eat and had dehydration recently. She was sent to a clinic and ultrasound showed that one of the kidney got enlarged, not sure if it's a tumor. She had been staying in the clinic for a while and came back to Anima on 27th December 2016. She was transferred to a second clinic for another opinion in the next day. According to the second vet, Pinta Preta had problems on her liver and kidney. We were informed by the clinic that she passed away last night. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-December Sad News (473-Leg Leg)!

<24-12-2016> 473-Leg Leg (M), with an estimated age of nine years old now, passed away today due to cancer. Leg Leg was found getting slim and not eating much since one week ago. We found a hard lump when we were palpating his belly and he seemed in pain. He was sent to a clinic for further examination and observation. According to the vet, there was a tumor  located near his bowel and artery. The surgery was too risky and Leg Leg might not survive during the surgery. Leg Leg was then transferred to a second clinic for another opinion. According to the second vet, the cancer had spread to his lung, liver and kidney already, there was no chance for him to survive. After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put him sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of...

Anima-December Sad News (SPPC1327-Huck)!

<20-12-2016> The mother, SPPC1324-Polly (F), on the time with an estimated age of three years old, together with her kittens, SPPC1325-Becky (F), SPPC1326-Sawyer (M) and SPPC1327-Huck (M), on the time all with an estimated age of 1.5 months old, were under our Special Protection Program (SPP) and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 7th November 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Polly had upper respiratory infection and the breathing was not clear. Becky, Sawyer and Huck had eye discharge and inflammation. They were returned to their former place after dewormed and medication prescribed in the same day. They were brought to Anima again on 29th November 2016 by Michele. Polly was staying with us to be spayed. Becky, Sawyer and Huck were staying with us for adoption. Huck was found dehydrated and had hypothermia that we even couldn't read the body temperature this morning, heart rate was irregular as well. He refused to eat since two...

<19-12-2016> C1277-Dot Dot (M), was rescued by Anima on 13th September 2016, with an estimated age of five months old, after a call from Ms. Lou reporting that a skinny kitten was found near Hospital Conde S. Januário. Dot Dot was collected to Anima and checked by our vet. He was staying with us under observation. He was found dehydrated and refused to eat recently.
