Anima – Socialization: a very careful process!

Anima does not cage and does not kill and all animals living with us have play time. As we are completely full we try our best to avoid reducing the space of every animal by studying the best combination and the best pens for the newcomers, when we can not put them back in their sites after rescue. This is a very careful process and needs a proper supervision for around two weeks. Night time during the socialization they do not stay together for safety reasons. The approval of the leader of the pen is very important. Usually when this happens easily, the socialization has all possibilities to be a success. To do that we need also people (more than one) to approach the animals one by one (first the leader), and after two by two and so on. We are trying to keep SPP1222-Nizie as she has always skin problems...

SPPC974-Meggsie was abandoned in a cartoon box somewhere in Taipa on 18th June 2015. She was rescued by Michele and is under our Special Protection Program. Anima – August Information about pets (C1023-Fui Fui)!

Fui Fui when rescued and now after few days with us! C1023-Fui Fui was rescued by Anima on 18th August 2015, after a call from Ms. Sou referring that she found a British shorthair cat in Taipa Pequena the night before. Fui Fui was very weak and lying on the floor. Ms. Sou almost thought she was dead. As she was in bad condition and dehydrated she was sent to a clinic for treatment by Ms Sou and Anima covered the remaining expenses with the surgery, otherwise she has died! Anima – July information about animals (1486-Milk Shake)

How was Milk Shake when we rescued him and now after being cared by us! 1486-Milk Shake was rescued by Anima on 27 June 2015, after a call from Mr. Chui reporting that a Pomeranian puppy was found dying in a street at Ilha Verde. The puppy had no power to move. 1486-Milk Shake was sent immediately to a clinic by Anima. He was anemic and need to stay overnight for treatment! He was followed very carefully by our staff up to now and is almost prepared to leave us as we already decided who will be his next family! Please understand, only one family can take him! Deciding which is the best for him is not easy and many times we have to think also about the family and its needs! Every time we may not decide as you should like us to do! Anima – Information about Animals (SPP1485-Hac Mui)

Please see Hac Mui before and after the surgery! SPP1485-Hac Mui was recued by Anima on June 27, 2015, after a call from the staff of a friendly association asking us to help Hac Mui. A lump was found hanging from her stomach. She was sent to a clinic immediately for surgery. SPP1485-Hac Mui is now under our Special Protection Program. She is not easy to handle! Anima- Information about animals in temporary accomodation (1465-Luna and 1466-Jorjão)

1465-Luna and 1466-Jorjão that were exceptionally accommodated in Anima temporarily, as the owners Mr. Varley and Marisa went back home unexpectedly by professional reasons, are very well with us. They are just waiting for the 90 days imposed by European authorities to take a plane! Anima – SPP1349-Zac will stay in Anima forever unless adopted!

Zac now and when was rescued unable to move! SPP1439-Zac that was accepted to be under our SPP on March 21, 2015 after a call from Mr. Wong who was responsible for him in a site, will stay with us forever unless adopted. Zac was found unable to walk properly. Sent immediately to a clinic it was detected that he has venereal cancer and has been under surgery on 16th, April. After that he has been under chemotherapy for a while. We decided that was safer for him to stay with us as the former responsible was not able to handle such new situation. In one of our visits to the construction sites we saw a female dog that have just give birth to seven puppies. Anima is complete full otherwise we have put all inside our shelter. Nicky when rescued with the nose full of blood and now after treatment.
