Anima–November Sad News (H046-Coconut)!

<16-11-2021> H044-Kiwi (F), around 2 months old, was rescued on 28th January 2020 from youngster Kenji, who claimed to have 28 hamsters and had mixed the males and females together. She gave birth at least to 7 baby hamsters, H046-Coconut, H047-Grapes, H048-Morango, H049-Lime, H050-Banana, H051-Star Fruit and H052-Pomegranate. They were all kept in our Dogs’ Shelter. Anima-November Adoption (C2626, C2629)!

<16-11-2021> Mariko and Flying Tiger were adopted today by Ms. Cheok! C2624-Alicia (F), C2625-Vargas (F), C2626-Mariko (F), C2627-Morass (F), C2628-Diablo (M), C2629-Flying Tiger (M), C2630-Falcon (M), C2631-Largo (M), C2632-Zola (M), C2633-Beetle (M) and C2634-Tyrant (M), all around six weeks old back then, were rescued by Anima on 11th September 2021. The rescue happened after a call from Ms. Chan, who reported to have found the kittens abandoned in a cardboard box at Fortaleza do Monte. They were firstly sent by our team to a clinic for a check-up, as some of them seemed to be struggling to breath. After consultation, all were welcomed to our Cats’ Paradise. Anima-November Adoption (C2621, C2622)!

<16-11-2021> Matilda and Melina were adopted today by Ms. Figueiredo! Three siblings of C2620-Miley, named C2621-Matilda (F), C2622-Melina (F) and C2623-Mani (M), all around one month old back then, were rescued by Anima on 9th September 2021, after another call for help from Ms. Teresa. According to Ms. Teresa, the mother cat was been living near her building for a while and she frequently wandered on the high wall for a rest. C2368-Lazaro was rescued from the same area by Anima on 6th July 2020, C2555-Lollipop was rescued from the same place by Anima on 21st March 2021 and C2620-Miley, the last one, was rescued on 30th August 2021. Ms. Teresa also mentioned that the mother gets pregnant multiple times. We believed that the mother still needs to be neutered. Anima-November Adoption (C2411-Lilian)!

<16-11-2021> Lilian was adopted today by Mr. Tang! C2409-Lorrie (F), around two years old, C2410-Lawrence (M), around eight months old, C2411-Lilian (F), around seven months old, as well as C2412-Lumi (F) and C2413-Lucia (F), both around two years old by that time, were all rescued by Anima on the 11th October 2020, from the cages where they were found without minimum living conditions, inside an intern patio of a building in Macau. One other cat, C2414-Kaya, was also rescued later, caught while roaming freely over the same site. This was the second day of an extensive rescue operation in a site identified by our rescue team on the previous days and under the responsibility of an elderly lady in Macau. Anima–November Rescue (SPP2410-Testi)!

<16-11-2021> SPP2410-Testi (M), a puppy around nine months old, was rescued by Anima on 16th November 2021 and he is under our Special Protection Program now. Anima received a call from Mr. Tog reporting that SPP2410-Testi got injured near Pac On. He asked us to help. SPP2410-Testi was sent to a clinic for consultation. His testicles were ruptured and need a surgery. Anima is going to help with the castration in this situation. Thanks, Mr. Tog! Please help us to help them! Anima–Lost or Disappear (C1775-Prince)!

<15-11-2021> Our beloved Prince (Male), around 9 years old, microchipped, and castrated has gone missing since August this year near R. de Fernão Mendes Pinto in Taipa. Anima didn’t receive any news regarding Prince when we follow up his condition with the adopter. Only after constant inquiry, we were told that Prince has gone missing since August this year! Prince, a charming and affectional guy, never had the experience to be living outside without human protection. His missing is truly a devastating and worrying news to all of us who care for him! <14-11-2021> Five cats were rescued by Anima on 14th November, 2021: C2658-Lolita (F), a British shorthair around 12 years old; as well as C2659-Chantel (F), around three and a half years old; together with her three-month-old kittens C2660-Gumpty (F), C2661-Humpty (M) and C2662-Dumpty (M). Last week, we received a Facebook message from a non-resident worker reporting to have six cats at home in Rua de S. Jose. She claimed to be unable to afford taking care of them and stated that her roommate left her the two adult cats three years ago, when she returned to her home country. Chantel hadn’t been spayed and, as her home didn’t have window protection installed, she had access to the outside of the house. <14-11-2021> Today, we were visited by 52 people, of which 20 were from Melco Resorts & Entertainment Group on a visit to our Dogs' Shelter. Anima-November Adoption (C2657-Francisco)!

<14-11-2021> Francisco was adopted today by Ms. Carla! C2657-Francisco (M) was rescued by Anima on 7th November 2021, when he was around one and a half months old. On that day, we received a call from Mr. Francisco reporting that a kitten was found hiding under a vending machine at Avenida do Ouvidor Arriaga. With the help of Mr. Francisco and Ms. Carla, the kitten was caught and sent to a clinic for consultation. He remained hospitalized until now. Anima in ‘Mês da Divulgação Jurídica destinada a jovens’!

<13-11-2021> Anima attended the closing ceremony of the ‘Mês da Divulgação Jurídica destinada a jovens’, within the scope of the activity “Novo Espaço para a Generalização do Direito 2021”. The event took place at the auditorium of Saint Paul School and around 100 people were present. The initiative intended to reinforce youth's awareness of legal knowledge and compliance with the law. It was organized by the interdepartmental monitoring group of "Política de Juventude", consisting of twelve government departments: IAM, DSEJ, DSEDT, DSAJ, DSAL, CPSP, SPU, PJ, IC, IAS, SS and DSPA. Anima is within the institutions who received the certificate of appreciation for its participation. We are grateful to the organizers of this initiative!
