Anima–September Sad News (FM008-Gaston)!

<27-09-2021> A family of three fancy mouses, the mother, FM001-Haisley (F), around one year old, the father, FM002-Harper (M), around one year old and the baby, FM003-Eesley (F), around 3 months old, were rescued by Anima on 7th March 2020, after a call from Mr. Lao reporting that he found three fancy mouses abandoned near a public garbage bin at R. Nova da Areia Preta (Nam Wa San Chun). He asked us to help. On 16th March 2020, FM001-Haisley gave birth to FM004-Evelyn and the baby passed away two days later in our Dogs’ Shelter. FM003-Eesley gave birth to FM005-Patty, FM006-Olga, FM007-Fred, FM008-Gaston and FM009-Odett. All of them are healthy and stay in ANIMA for now until can be adopted! Recently, FM008-Gaston (M) got sick and have serious breathing problems. Today in the clinic where he was hospitalized, FM008-Gaston passed away. According with one vet, it was due to pneumonia. Anima-September Adoption (2185-Leslie)!

<27-09-2021> Leslie was adopted today by Mr. Danny! 2185-Leslie (M), around six years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 18th October 2019, after a call from Ms. Suzanna who found a Husky wandering alone in the street. Our rescue team recognized the dog that used to have an owner in a workshop and brought him to Anima for check his health condition. 2185-Leslie was welcome to our Dogs’ Shelter. He was temporarily fostered by Mr. Danny on 11th October 2020. Today, Leslie was adopted and he found the love of a new family! Thanks, Mr. Danny! Please adopt and never buy! Anima–September Sad News (SPP2240-Ah Wong)!

<24-09-2021> SPP2240-Ah Wong (M), around 13 years old, was under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 9th March 2020. He was under Mr. O's responsibility in Templo de A-Ma (Barra). Anima was informed by Mr. O that SPP2240- Ah Wong was weak, lethargic, and not eating at all. SPP2240-Ah Wong was immediately sent to a clinic for consultation. Blood test results indicated that he has amenia. X-Ray Examination and Ultrasound results were normal. He was tested positive for Canine Ehrlichia (Tick Fever). According to the vet, he might also suffer from an Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) as he was unable to stand or walk. SPP2240-Ah Wong was hospitalized in the clinic for treatment. Unfortunately, and despite all medical efforts, he did not survive. His body will be delivered in IAM. R.I.P. our old friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–September Sad News (SPP2141-Ah Mui)!

<23-09-2021> SPP2241-Ah Mui (F), around 12 years old, was under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 9th March 2020. She was rescued by Anima on 19th May 2020, after a call from Mr. O reporting that she was sick, and he asked our help. After recover, SPP2141-Ah Mui was sent back to her place. Recently, Mr. O reported that SPP2241-Ah Mui passed away in a clinic because she was hit by a car. Ah Mui was immediately sent to the clinic before, but she died hours later because of internal bleeding due to her broken bladder after the accident. R.I.P. our old friend! Anima-September Sad News (193-Luna)!

<21-09-2021> Our female dog 193-Luna, a senior dog of our shelter, has passed away today. Recently, 193-Luna was sent to a clinic for acupuncture treatment and a recheck. She was notice and reported on 19th September 2021, by her handler, that she was having difficulty on walking and standing, and only eating canned food. According to the vet in the clinic, Cerebellar Disease or Canine Idiopathic Vestibular Syndrome was suspected. This disorder stems from issues affecting her vestibular system within the inner ear, and middle ear. She also had some ear infection and bedsores on her body as well. Steroid and Antibiotics medication were prescribed. Despite all medical efforts, 193-Luna passed away today. In an advanced age stage, any treatment would give her more pain than quality of life. <21-09-2021> Galaxy Entertainment Group donated MOP80,000 to Anima today! Throughout the years, Galaxy has remained a huge supporter of our cause and their assistance has made all the difference. Anima-September New SPP Dog (SPP2405-A-Mui)!

<18-09-2021> SPP2405-A-Mui (F), a dog around seven years old, was registered in our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 18th September, 2021. She’s living under Mrs. So’s responsibility in Hac-Sa, Coloane. Today, A-Mui was rescued by Anima for a medical check-up in a clinic, as some wounds were found on her neck. She was safely returned to her original site after treatment. Through our SPP Program, we have been extending our support to a broad number of animals living out of our shelters, under the responsibility of volunteers. Anima-September Sad News (706-Tommy)!

<15-09-2021> Our dog 706-Tommy, a senior dog of our shelter, has passed away today. 706-Tommy was sent to a clinic after being found lying on the ground breathing hard and panting. He had low body temperature, was dehydrated and kidney exam values were very high (SDMA). Tommy was put under IV fluid and had painkillers. Despite all medical efforts, he passed way. According to the vets, his cause of death was due to a head stroke coming from his chronic heart problem and in an advanced age there was nothing that could be done at right on that moment.
