Anima-Macau Baptist College visited us!

<19-06-2021> We were visited by 42 people today, of which 13 were from Macau Baptist College on a visit to our Dogs' Shelter. The students learnt a bit more about Anima’s work and walked some of our furry friends! Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! Anima-June Rescue and Return (SPP2373, SPP2374, SPP2375)!

<19-06-2021> Three dogs under our SPP program received assistance from Anima today. SPP2373-Aerobic (M), SPP2374-Queen (F) and SPP2375-MoMo (F), all between two and three years old, live in a Ka-Ho car shop under Mr. Ng's responsibility. They were registered under our SPP program yesterday, when Mr. Ng has asked us for help as Aerobic showed up with a head injury. Queen and MoMo also have health issues and have been losing weight. Our team managed to rescue Aerobic and Queen today and sent them to a clinic. The wounds of Aerobic were treated and he returned to his original site after consultation. SPP2374-Queen, however, has severe anemia and a blood transfusion was needed. She tested POSITIVE with Ehrlichia, Babesia Canis and Anaplasma. One of our dogs, 1607-Eerika, was brought to the clinic for blood donation. She was the hero of the day and returned to our shelter after...

Anima-June Adoption (C2428-Rego)!

<18-06-2021> Rego was adopted today by Mr. Ng! C2428-Rego (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 19th November 2020, after one of our members, Ms. Mandy, found a very friendly and clean cat with part of ear trimmed near a Bus Stop (Edf. Sunny View Garden) on a very busy road Avenida do Coronel Mesquita with many cars and pedestrians. Apart from an incense store nearby was open, the remaining shops were closed. The cat was brought to our Cats’ Paradise to check. Anima informed I.A.M. about C2428-Rego’s microchip number. According to I.A.M., the cat was adopted from Macau Kennel in August this year. The owner of the cat will be contacted and I.A.M. will take their own measures to proceed the case. Anima cooperates with I.A.M. to save as more animals as possible and keeping their welfare. Anima-New SPP dogs (SPP2373, SPP2374, SPP2375)!

<18-06-2021> SPP2373-Aerobic (M), around two years old, SPP2374-Queen (F) around three years old and SPP2375-MoMo (F), around two years old, are now registered under our Special Protection Program (SPP). All are under Mr. Ng's responsibility in a Ka-Ho Car Shop, after we received a call from Mr. Ng himself reporting that SPP2373-Aerobic have a wound on his head and today started having nosebleed. It is suspected that some one hit the dog on the head. Anima will bring Aerobic to a clinic where they can provide medical care and later a spay surgery. Thanks for your support, Mr. Ng! <17-06-2021> Kuma was adopted today by Ms. Leong! C2582-Kuma (M), around one year old back then, was rescued by Anima on 24th May 2021, following a call from Ms. Sou reporting that she has been feeding a cat in Taipa Central Park since January, but recently the security did not allow them to feed anymore. Anima–June Sad News (447-Iris)!

<15-06-2021> 447-Iris, one of our oldest dogs, has been living in our Dogs’ Shelter for a few years. Recently, she was coughing several times. After X-Ray exams and blood test results, she was initially diagnosed with heart murmur and pericardial effusions. However, after more medical exams and according with a vet, she has a tumor. 447-Iris have been hospitalized in the vet clinic for treatment. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, she did not survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–June Adoption (C2528-Olive)!

<14-06-2021> Olive was adopted today, by Ms. Kuan! C2528-Olive (F), around six months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 25th February 2021, after a message on Facebook from Mr. Tiago asking if we could collect her as the kitten was very friendly and easy to approach. Mr. Tiago thought that Olive might had an owner, and she was lost. Our rescue team passed by the area. Olive was found inside of a shop to whom it was asked if she belongs there. Both, the shop staff and the owner, said that Olive is a stray cat that would sometimes come in, either to get food or attention. Rescue team collected C2528-Olive and she was welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Today, C2528-Olive finally found the love of a new family! Thanks Ms. Kuan, for choosing to adopt her! Anima–June Sad News (C2093-Spenlia)!

<13-06-2021> Our cat C2093-Spenlia has passed away today. Among several health issues, Spenlia had been suffering from severe pancreatitis and, despite all medical care, her health continued to deteriorate. Following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Spenlia was euthanized in a clinic in an effort to shorten her agony. R.I.P. our friend! Anima-June Adoption (2417-Nena)!

<12-06-2021> Our Nena was adopted today by Ms. Fong! 2417-Nena (F) was rescued by Anima on 15th October 2020, when she was one year old. She was collected by Anima after a call reporting that a cat had fallen into a patio at Edf. Mayfair Court in Rua de Francisco António. Nena was rescued and hospitalized in a clinic, as her pelvis was fractured. After recovery, she was welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Nena found a forever family.
