Anima–May Rescue (C2579, C2580)!

<04-05-2021> C2579-Justin (M) and C2580-Marly (M), around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 4th May 2021, after a call from Ms. Carrie referring that she found two kittens inside a paper box in Bloc. Funcionários on R. da Restauração, yesterday. Ms. Carrie took Justin and Marly to a clinic and later, she left them in our Cats’ Paradise. Both are now being temporarily fostered by our staff. Anima-M.U.S.T. Social Service Team visited us!

<03-05-2021> Today, we were visited by 36 people, of which 17 were students from M. U. S. T. Social Service Team who helped in some of our daily tasks. All of them had the opportunity to interact with our cats at our Cats' Paradise. Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2020, we were visited by 10.495 people, compared with 7.487 visitors in 2019. Anima-M.U.S.T. Social Service Team visited us!

<03-05-2021> Today, we were visited by 36 people, of which 19 were students from M. U. S. T. Social Service Team who helped in some of our daily tasks. All of them had the opportunity to interact with our hamsters, fancy mouses and dogs at our Dogs’ Shelter. Thank you for your visit and support! Anima–May Sad News (262-Roy)!

<03-05-2021> Sadly, our dog C2575-Roy (F) as passed away today. She was a senior resident of our shelter, around 14 years old. Recently, Roy had been suffering with kidney problems and anemia. She had to become hospitalized in a vet clinic for treatment. Unfortunately, and despite of all medical efforts, she did not survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Sad News (SQ008-Peanut)!

<02-05-2021> SQ008-Peanut, a baby squirrel, was rescued by Anima on the 1st May 2021, after a call from Ms. Helga reporting to have found a small squirrel, apparently with a broken leg, in the trail near Hac Sa Water Reservoir. He was sent to a clinic for treatment. Sadly, we were informed today by the clinic that Peanut didn’t survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Sad News (699-Lady)!

<02-05-2021> Sadly, our dog 699-Lady has passed away today. Lady was 13 years old and in our shelter since 2011. A particularly friendly, sociable and loveable dog, Lady was a favourite among our visitors and a common presence at our events. Last month, her health condition started to deteriorate. She was taken to a private clinic for consultation several times. Eventually, she ended up staying hospitalized, as she was suffering from Kidney Failure. Unfortunately, she passed away in the clinic today. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Adoption (C2523-Akio)!

<02-05-2021> Akio was adopted by Ms. Guimarães today! C2523-Akio (M), around six months old by the time, was rescued by Anima from Rua Dois do Bairro Iao Hon on 13th February 2021. Akio was rescued to ensure his safety following last shocking reports of several cats found dead in the area. He was then welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Akio was adopted by Ms. Guimarães! Anima–May Sad News (C2448-Sydney)!

<02-05-2021> Our cat Sydney has passed away today. C2448-Sydney (M), around one year old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 18th December 2020 from IAM, as they reported to have run out of space. He was then welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. A few weeks ago, Sydney was found skinny, lethargic and taken to a clinic for consultation. He was suffering with abnormal abdominal fluids and was tested positive for PCR FCoV. There were also suspicions that he was infected with FIP. Despite all medical care, his health condition continued to deteriorate. Following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Sydney was euthanized in a clinic in an effort to shorten his agony. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Adoption (C2501-Indigo)!

<02-05-2021> Indigo was adopted by Mr. Chio, today! C2501-Indigo, around two days old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 4th February 2021, found in the ceiling of a computer store in Rua Um do Bairro Iao Hon. Indigo was rescued with three other kittens and was welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. He would be fostered by our staff for milk feeding and special care. Today, Indigo found a forever family! Anima-Coco returned home!

<01-05-2021> Coco was returned today to her owner. 2363-Coco (F), a poodle around one and a half years old, was rescued by Anima on 30th March 2021, after a call from Mr. Chan reporting to have found a dog wandering near Rotunda da Concórdia. Coco had no microchip and was rescued and sent to our Dogs’ Shelter. A couple hours later, we were contacted by the owner who claimed that Coco escaped from their house at Estrada de Lai Chi Vun. Today, Coco returned to her family. Coco will receive her license and microchip next Tuesday in IAM. Never Abandon your pets! Abandoning a pet should be a crime! Please help us to help them!
