Anima-February Sad News (390-Happy)!

<07-02-2021> Sadly, our dog 390-Happy has passed away in a clinic today. Happy’s health was unstable for the last days and she could not stand up at the beginning. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. According with the vet, she might have a tumor. Symptoms showed her suffering. Although a surgery was about to be performed, it was also suggested by the clinic to euthanize her to end the pain. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, she did not survive. R.I.P. our dear friend! Never Abandon your pets! <17-02-2021> Today, we were visited by 79 people, of which 2 were Ms. Lei's friends who came to our Dogs’ Shelter to interact with our four-legged companions and learn a bit more about Anima’s work. Anima-February Adoption (C2392, C2394)!

<14-02-2021> Nayomi and Nelly were adopted today by Mr. Wong! C2391-Nilah (F), C2392-Nayomi (F), C2393-Nicolette (F) and C2394-Nelly (M), all around two weeks old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 14th September 2020, following a call from Ms. Carla reporting that a loud ‘meowing’ could be heard near Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro in the early morning. Four kittens were found and rescued since no adult female cat was found nearby. All kittens were temporarily fostered by our staff members for special care and milk feeding. Nayomi and Nelly were initially adopted on 21th November, 2020 but were later returned as one member of the family was suffering from severe allergies. They returned to the foster care of our staff. Anima–February Rescue (C2523, 2524)!

<13-02-2021> C2523-Akio (M), around six months old, and C2524-Manki (M), around seven months old, were rescued by Anima from Rua Dois of Iao Hon on 13th February 2021. These cats were rescued as a way to ensure their safety following last shocking reports of several cats found dead in the area. Akio and Manki were both welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. These rescues are part of an extensive rescue operation which is in progress in Iao Hon and Anima has been receiving the support of I.A.M. Please help us to help them! <12-02-2021> C2521-Misaki (F), around seven months old and C2522-Koki (F), around one year old, were rescued by Anima on 12th February 2021, from Rua Dois do Bairro Iao Hon as they were at imminent risk of being killed. Anima-February Return (B197-Vera)!

<12-02-2021> B197-Vera, a dove, was rescued by Anima on 5th February 2021, following a call from Ms. Hui informing that she found a dove, B197-Vera, unable to fly near Edf. Kam Loi. She asked us help. Our rescue team collected Vera, sending her directly to a clinic. According to the vet, she was weak and needed to be fed. She was hospitalized in the clinic until full recover. Anima–February Adoption (C2495-Oasis)!

<11-02-2021> Oasis was adopted today by Ms. Daniela! C2495-Oasis (F), around three months old back then, was rescued by Anima on 26th January 2021, after a call from Ms. Laura referring that she had rescued a kitten near One Oasis. As she noticed the kitten shaking, she brought her to a clinic, but Oasis was confirmed to be healthy and without injuries. Anima-February Adoption (C2403-Gabby)!

<12-02-2021> Gabby was adopted today by Ms. Viana! Back then, C2402-Forky (newborn), C2403-Gabby (F), around one year old, C2404-Buzz and C2405-Woody (newborns), as well as C2406-Tifa (F), C2407-Tova (F) and C2408-Terra (F), all around seven months old, were rescued by Anima on the 10th October 2020, following a visit to a site under the responsibility of an elderly lady, who has asked for our help with long-term food support for her animals. Unexpectedly, we were taken to a patio of a building where 11 cats were found in small cages, inside a narrow and dark improvised room. Due to the severe environmental conditions, we immediately started developing plans to an extensive rescue operation. C2403-Gabby was brought to our Cats’ Paradise.
