Anima–February Rescue (C2499, C2500, C2501, C2502)!

<04-02-2021> C2499-Sage, C2500-Leaf, C2501-Indigo and C2502-Willow, newborns around two days old, were rescued by Anima on 4th February 2020, after a call from Mr. Tong regarding that for two days his working company “CSA Computer Zone” in Rua Um do Bairro Iao Hon have been listening crying from a kitten in the ceiling. Today, some of the company staff opened the ceiling and found four kittens, Sage, Leaf, Indigo and Willow. Mr. Tong does not have any experience with animals, special newborns, and he asked us help. Anima set up a trap to catch the mother. The kittens were collected by our rescue team, and they were welcome to our Cat’s Paradise. C2499-Sage, C2500-Leaf, C2501-Indigo and C2502-Willow are fostered now by our staff member, Miss Mandy. Thanks, Mr. Tong and Miss Mandy! Please help us to help them! Anima-Macau University Science and Technology helped us!

<03-02-2021> Today, we were visited by 38 people, of which 24 were from Macau University Science and Technology who came as volunteers to our Cats' Paradise. They had the great opportunity to interact with our four-legged companions an even learn how is our daily feeding activities outside of our shelters. An adventure every single day! Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2020, we were visited by 10.495 people, compared with 7.487 visitors in 2019. Anima–February Sad News (H043-Papaya)!

<03-02-2021> H043-Papaya (M), with a few more hamsters, were rescued by Anima on the 30th January 2020, after received a message from Facebook on 27th January, by a twelve years old youngster, Keiji telling that he can’t take care of his 28 hamsters anymore because they breed a lot and they are always fighting. He does not have enough money to buy food for them as well. He asked us to help. We collected them all and they were welcome in our Dog’s Shelter! Today, H043-Papaya passed away in a clinic due to a large abscess. R.I.P. our dear friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–January Adoption (H067 and H068)!

<31-01-2021> Our hamsters YangMei and Chayote were adopted today by Mr. Cheong! H063-Peach (F), H064-Loquat (F), H065-Carambola (F), H066-Rose (F), H067-YangMei (F), H068-Chayote (F) and H069-Pitaya (F), all around three months old by the time of the rescued, were collected by Anima on 12th June 2020, from Macau Kennel. They were rescued by I.A.M on 31st May 2020, after being found abandoned on the side of the road at Seac Pai Van in a plastic box. All of them have been staying in our Dogs’ Shelter. Anima–January Rescue (C2498-Tako)!

<31-01-2021> C2498-Tako (M), a cat around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 31st January 2021, following a call from Ms. Chao reporting that a kitten had been wandering in Beco do Peixe Salgado for the last three days. According to Ms. Chao, the cat was abandoned by a shopkeeper when the store moved to a different location. Our Rescue team visited the site and managed to rescue him after setting a cat trap. Anima–January Adoption (C2442-Aladdin)!

<31-01-2021> Aladdin was adopted by Ms. Fong! C2442-Aladdin (M), a cat around one and a half year old by the time of the rescue, was collected by Anima on 7th December 2020, after a call from I.A.M. reporting that a British Shorthair cat was abandoned in Macau Kennel, as the owner couldn’t afford the vet expenses due to Aladdin’s kidney problems and possible needed surgery. C2442-Aladdin was then rescued by Anima and sent to a clinic for further examination. An ultrasound exam indicated that urinary crystals were forming in the urine, irritating the bladder lining and causing a blockage. C2442-Aladdin stayed hospitalized and received all needed medical care before being welcomed at our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Aladdin found a forever family! Thanks for adopting, Ms. Fong! Anima–January Adoption (C2438-Jase)!

<30-01-2021> Jase was adopted today by Ms. Mok! C2438-Jase, around two months old by the time of the rescue, was collected by Anima on December 1st, 2020. We were informed by some visitors in that afternoon that a sick kitten was living in a store at Rua dos Negociantes. Our team was mobilized and ended up finding two kittens with watery eyes and nasal discharge, of which one already had a 3rd eyelid visible, both living in a store. The owner, however, refused to take the kittens to a clinic. He would later decide to surrender the kittens to Anima. Jase was then welcomed at our Cats’ Paradise. Anima–January Rescue (C2497-Vava)!

<30-01-2021> C2497-Vava (F), a kitten around seven months old, was rescued by Anima on 30th January 2021, following a call from Ms. Luk reporting to have found an injured cat in Calçada do Monte. Our Rescue team was mobilized and Vava was immediately sent to a clinic. X-ray results revealed a mandibular symphyseal fracture. The most frequent causes of mandibular fractures are road traffic accidents or falls from heights. A surgery is required and was already scheduled. Vava is very gentle, has a clean coat and no fleas, so we suspect that she may have an owner. She will stay hospitalized and under close observation. Thanks for the warning call, Ms. Luk! Anima–January Adoption (C2435-Caleb)!

<29-01-2021> Caleb was adopted by Ms. Pong! C2432-Claire (F), C2433-Camilla (F), C2434-Cooper (M), C2435-Caleb (M) and C2436-Camden (M), all around two and a half months old by the time, were originally found on a cardboard Cashier at the University of Macau, near the playground. Eventually, the kittens were rescued by the I.A.M and Anima agreed to rescue them if they did not find an adopter. The five kittens were welcome to our Cats' Paradise. Today, Caleb found his home!
