Anima-New SPP dog (SPP2337-Katie)!

<11-01-2021> SPP2337-Katie (F), around one year and three months old, is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP), under Ms. Wong’s responsibility in a Ka Ho workshop, Coloane. Ms. Wong reported that there was female dog who needs to be desexed before getting pregnant. Anima is going to help providing dog food and bring her to a clinic for a spay surgery when she becomes ready for it. Thanks, Ms. Wong! Please help us to help them! Anima–January Rescue and Return (SPP2241-Ah Mui)!

<11-01-2020> SPP2241-Ah Mui (F), around 12 years and 8 months old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 9th March 2020, under Mr. Jake ‘s responsibility in Templo de A-Ma (Barra). Today, Anima was informed that SPP2241-Ah Mui has blepharitis (inflammation) reoccurring on the eyelids causing redness. She was sent to a vet clinic and made some medical exams. SPP2241-Ah Mui returned to the former site after consultation and under prescribed medication. Thanks, Mr. Jake! Please help us to help them! Anima-January Sad News (C1564-Dan)!

<10-01-2021> Sadly, our cat C1564-Dan has passed away today. Dan had been suffering from pancreatitis for several months. On his last visit to a clinic, kidney problems were also diagnosed. According to the veterinary doctors, however, there was not much we could do at this stage and he returned to our shelter where he had been receiving IV fluid, medication and supplements daily. Dan would be found dead this morning in our shelter. R.I.P. our dear friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-Watkins returned home!

<10-01-2021> Our cat C2446-Watkins (M) was returned today to his owner, Mr. Lei. Rescued on last December 15th, Watkins was found meowing trapped between two buildings in Rua da Ribeira do Patane. Our Rescue team rescued Watkins with the help of a neighbour. Watkins was wearing a blue collar but he had no microchip and the owner was not found initially. Watkins was then welcomed at our Cats’ Paradise. The owner would later be found and informed us that Watkins had escaped through a window. Prior to returning the cat, we have made sure that Watkins was microchipped and that all necessary changes were made to the owner’s apartment in order to ensure Watkins’ safety. Anima–January Rescue (C2479-Josie)!

<10-01-2021> C2479-Josie (F), a kitten around three months old, was rescued by Anima today following a facebook message from Ms. Lio reporting that two sick kittens suffering from ocular discharge were seen in Pátio do Mungo. We were able to catch one the kittens, C2479-Josie, who was immediately sent to a clinic. Ms. Lio will assist us rescuing the remaining kitten. Thanks for your warning message and support, Ms. Lio! Anima–January Rescue and Deceased (C2478-Dali)!

<10-01-2021> C2478-Dali (M), a cat around four years old, was rescued by Anima today following a call from Mr. Chan reporting that a severely injured cat had been seen crawling from under a car, eventually hiding in a ATM kiosk in Rua do Coelho do Amaral. Our Rescue team was mobilized and directly sent Dali to a private clinic. Dali was bleeding from his mouth, presented a big wound on his right front leg and couldn’t use his back legs. X-ray results revealed pneumothorax and pulmonary hemorrhage. Sadly, Dali didn’t survive his multiple injuries and would pass away in the clinic a few hours later. R.I.P.! Anima-January Return (C2392, C2394)!

<09-01-2021> C2392-Nayomi and C2394-Nelly, both around two weeks old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 14th September 2020, after a call from Ms. Carla reporting that she was hearing kittens meowing inside an abandoned property next to her workplace at Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro. Our Rescue Team was mobilized and rescued the kittens, already collected from the property by a local worker by the time we arrived. They were welcomed to our Cats' Paradise. Nayomi and Nelly would be adopted on the 21st November, 2020. Unfortunately, however, the family daughter is suffering from a severe allergy and the kittens were returned today. C2392-Nayomi and C2394-Nelly are now being temporarily fostered by our staff and looking for a new family! Please help us to help them! C1140-Poppy (F) was rescued by Anima on 17/03/2016, when she was around two years old, following a call from Ms. Leong reporting that a kitten was hiding under a tree near Rua Dois do Bairro da Concórdia.
