Anima-November Adoption (T033, T034)!

<22-11-2020> Our turtles Prima and Primo were adopted by Mr. Mario! T033-Prima (F) and T034-Primo (M), two turtles of unknown age, were rescued by Anima in Rua da Penha, on 05/11/2020. One of our staff found them abandoned in two small containers at the entrance of a building. Today, Prima and Primo were adopted by Mr. Mario, also a member of our staff! Anima–November Rescue (C2429-Pauline)!

<22-11-2020> C2429-Pauline (F), a cat around four years old, was rescued by Anima today. On 16/11/2020, we received a call from Mr. Cao reporting to have found a very weak and skinny cat at Pátio da Eterna Felicidade. An owner of a shop nearby claimed to have been feeding the cat for a few months, but insisted that the cat is a stray and didn’t plan to take her to a clinic for consultation. With the help of two volunteers, we managed to rescue Pauline today. She was directly sent to a clinic, where she will stay hospitalized for the time being. Thank you for the warning call, Mr. Cao! Anima-November Adoption (C2392, C2394)!

<21-11-2020> Nayomi and Nelly were adopted today by Ms. Chio! C2391-Nilah (F), C2392-Nayomi (F), C2393-Nicolette (F) and C2394-Nelly (M), all around two weeks old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 14th September 2020, following a call from Ms. Carla reporting that a loud ‘meowing’ could be heard near Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro in the early morning. Four kittens were found and rescued as no adult female cat was found nearby. C2394-Nelly seemed weaker and was sent to a clinic for consultation. He would later be discharged after being confirmed healthy and reunited with his siblings. All kittens were temporarily fostered by our staff members for special care and milk feeding. Anima–November Adoption (C2424-Alphard)!

<20-11-2020> Alphard was adopted by Ms. Belinda today! C2424-Alphard (F), a kitten around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 8th November 2020, following a demanding rescue operation carried out in cooperation with the Fire Department. In the afternoon, we received a call from Ms. Sio reporting that a kitten was trapped inside her car in N.A.P.E. The Fire Department had already been mobilized, but the kitten remained stuck after more than one hour of unsuccessful attempts. They asked us for help. After some effort, our staff managed to lure the kitten and slowly pull her out between the different car components. Alphard was then sent to a clinic, where she was hospitalized receiving a full health check. We are grateful for the support of everyone who helped us in this rescue! Anima–November Rescue (C2428-Rego)!

<19-11-2020> C2428-Rego (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 19th November 2020, after one of our members, Ms. Mandy, found a very friendly and clean cat with part of ear trimmed near a Bus Stop (Edf. Sunny View Garden) on a very busy road Avenida do Coronel Mesquita with many cars and pedestrians. Apart from an incense store nearby was open, the remaining shops were closed. The cat was brought to our Cats’ Paradise to check. Anima informed I.A.M. about C2428-Rego’s microchip number. According to I.A.M., the cat was adopted from Macau Kennel in August this year. The owner of the cat will be contacted and I.A.M. will take their own measures to proceed the case. Anima cooperates with I.A.M. to save as more animals as possible and keeping their welfare. Anima-November Return (SPP2313-Tiara)!

<19-11-2020> SPP2313-Tiara (F), around three years old, has been registered under our Special Protection Program (SPP). She is living in a site in Coloane, under the responsibility of Mr. Ng. Anima provided an X-ray exam and an ultrasound to check if SPP2313-Tiara was pregnant. Results were positive. She returned to site after the consultation as she is not suitable for spay. <18-11-2020> Today, we were visited by 24 people, which 14 were volunteers from Lui Che Woo College (University of Macau) and helped us in our Cats’ Paradise with internal work of Anima! Anima-November Adoption (C2405-Woody)!

<18-11-2020> Woody was adopted by Mr. Teles today! C2402-Forky (newborn), C2403-Gabby (F), around one year old, C2404-Buzz (newborn) and C2405-Woody (newborn), as well as C2406-Tifa (F), C2407-Tova (F) and C2408-Terra (F), all around seven months old, were rescued by Anima on the 10th October 2020, following a visit to a site under the responsibility of an elderly lady, who has asked for our help with long-term food support for her animals. Unexpectedly, we were taken to a patio of a building where 11 cats were found in small cages, inside a narrow and dark improvised room. Due to the severe state they were in, without minimum living conditions, we immediately started developing plans to an extensive rescue operation. They have been in our Cats’ Paradise!
