Anima–July Rescue (SPP2299-Kinki)!

<31-07-2020> SPP2299-Kinki (F), around seven months old and from our Special Protection Program (SPP) under Ms. Chan’s responsibility, was rescued by Anima on 31st July 2020, after a call from Mr. Wong reporting that he had an accident hitting a dog, SPP2299-Kinki, with his car in Largo da Ponte de Coloane. He asked us help. Anima staff went to the site with two volunteers and rescued the dog into a safe zone. SPP2299-Kinki was immediately sent to a clinic. X-Ray results revealed that her pelvis is fractured. According to the vet, it can heal without any surgery. SPP2299-Kinki will be hospitalized in the clinic for close observation and specific medical care. Thanks, Mr. Wong, for leting us know! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima-July Rescue (B162-Myra)!

<30-07-2020> B162-Myra was rescued by Anima on 30th July 2020, after Mr. Anand brought over a baby crested myna bird to our Dogs’ Shelter. Mr. Anand reported that he just picked it up on Estr. do Istmo because he couldn’t see the mother or nest around. The baby bird, B162-Myra looks healthy but keeping opening his mouth and waiting to be fed. B162-Myra was sent to Macau Kennel as they have space and qualified persons to feed him until he can be able to survive on its own in the wild. Thanks, Mr. Anand! Please help us to help them! Anima-July Sad News (B161-Gilly)!

<29-07-2020> B161-Gilly was rescued by Anima on 28th July 2020, after a person brought over a bird that he picked up near Coloane to our Dogs’ Shelter, as the bird seemed to have his leg injured and couldn’t fly. Gilly was immediately sent to a clinic for treatment. He was diagnosed with paralysis and he stayed in the clinic under medical care. Today, Anima was informed that B161-Gilly passed away in the clinic. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-International School of Macau helped us!

<27-07-2020> Today, 38 people visited us, of which four were students from The International School of Macau who came to our Dog Shelter to do volunteer work and walk our friendly four-legged companions! Anima–July Foster Family (C2362-Shannon)!

<27-07-2020> Shannon was fostered by Ms. Pamela, today! C2362-Shannon (F), around one month old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 2nd July 2020, after being brought by Mr. Peter, who reported that two days before he met a cat mother with four kittens near Jockey Club. They were scared and all ran off except one kitten. The kitten, C2362-Shannon, was left behind as both of her hind legs couldn’t move and seemed paralyzed. She was sent to a clinic for an x-ray. Results showed some abnormal vertebrae and it could be caused by malnutrition or infection. C2362-Shannon recovered and she has been in our Cats’ Paradise. Shannon was fostered by Ms. Pamela, today! <27-07-2020> B160-Bun Bun, a baby dove, was rescued by Anima on 27th July 2020, after a call from Ms. Christine reporting that Bun Bun was found on the road of Rua de Bragança and he was unable to fly. Bun Bun was immediately sent to a clinic. He would be hospitalized until he recovered. <27-07-2020> 1105-Leila (F) and 1106-Yodell (M), both around seven and a half years old, were rescued by Anima on 27th July 2020, after a call from IAM informing that Leila and Yodell were abandoned in Macau Kennel by the adopter. <26-07-2020> Today, 52 people have visited us, of which five were volunteers from Melco Resorts Volunteer Team who came to our Cat’s Paradise to do volunteer work! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more people engage in Anima! In 2019, we had 7,487 visitors, a decrease of 13% as compared with 8,612 in 2018! 104 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in eight events organized by friends or by us! This year, up to June 2020, Anima received 185 visitors, 6 groups of schools, companies and associations and we have been out in 23 events! Anima–July Sad News (B156-Suli)!

<26-07-2020> B156-Suli was rescued by Anima on 9th July 2020, following a call by a lady reporting that she picked up a baby bird near MGM Cotai on the way to work. She reported having seen a bird nest nearby, but inaccessible. Our Rescue team sent Suli directly to a clinic for treatment and it was reported in the same afternoon that Suli was still active and with good appetite. The next day, however, we were informed that he was still unable to survive in the wild and had to stay hospitalized for a longer period. Unfortunately, the clinic informed us today that B156-Suli has passed away of unknown cause. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
