Anima–May Sad News (217-Neve)!

<31-05-2020> 217-Neve was rescued by Anima and, as a pacient and relatively friendly dog, she has been our mascot for long time. On 14th May, 217-Neve showed struggle to stand and had vomited once on the same day. She was checked by our vet and she did a full blood test. Results showed that she has slightly anemia. Neve was then sent to an outside clinic for further examination. In the clinic she has been given subcutaneously fluids constantly and medicine for support kidney health as she was diagnosed with kidney failure since 29th September 2019 in another clinic. According to vet, the situation now is also joint problem (arthritis) due to old age. Her muscle on the rear legs has deteriorated. additional supplements were given for improved mobility and joint comfort with painkillers. Anima–May Adoption (C2316, C2323, C2324)!

<30-05-2020> Lucka, Quinta and Queeny were adopted by Ms. Narana, today! C2323-Quinta (F) and C2324-Queeny (F), around 2 weeks old by the time, were rescued by ANIMA on 25th April 2020, after received a case referral from AniHelp – Oscar regarding that 3 kittens were found directly on the ground and under bushes by Mr. Lao at Jardim de Luís de Camões. C2316-Lucka (F), around one month old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 15th April 2020, after a call from Mr. Li reporting that a small kitten was found alone on the construction site opposite to Mercado Municipal de S. Anima–May Sad News (C1799-Woolf)!

<29-05-2020> C1796-Bronte (F), C1797-Austin (F), C1798-Dickinson (M) and C1799-Woolf (M), were rescued by Anima on 7th December 2017, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. They were all neutered by IACM and stayed in our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, C1799-Woolf vomits and he was drooling a white foam. He was sent to a clinic. His body temperature got low and Woolf had seizures. Later, Anima were informed by the vet that C1799-Woolf passed away. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-May Adoption (SPPC2342, SPPC2343)!

<29-05-2020> Calvin and Colleen were adopted today by Mr. Tash! SPPC2341-Calie (M), SPPC2342-Calvin (M), SPPC2343-Colleen (F) and SPPC2344-Cyris (M), all around  one and a half months old, became under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 20th May 2020. The four kittens were rescued by Anima, after receive messages from Ms. Carla reporting that in her work place, Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro, there was a family of a mother cat with four kittens. Ms. Carla notice that one kitten had an eye blowing out of his face while the other kittens had severe eye problem maybe due to herpesvirus. Anima borrow two cat traps and Ms. Carla manage to capture all kittens. They were sent to a clinic for consultation. SPPC2341-Calie needed a surgery while the siblings were under medical care. Anima–May Abandoned and Rescue (C1163-Maddie)!

<28-05-2020> C1163-Maddie (F), was rescued by Anima on 16th April 2016 with an estimated age of two years old by the time, after a call from Mr. Wong reporting that a pregnant cat was found in Toi San. C1319-Root (M), around three months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 27th October 2016, after a call from Ms. Leong reporting that a kitten was found in Rua de Seng Tou. Maddie and Root were adopted by Ms. Campbell on 19th November 2016! Ms. Campbell had to move back to her home country unexpectedly, due to CoViD-19 and  she gave Maddie to an ex-colleague. Unfortunately, her colleague can’t take care of the cat. C1163-Maddie was returned to our Cat’s Paradise today! Please help us to help them! <27-05-2020> C2353-Marie (F), around six months old, was rescued by Anima on 26th may 2020, after a call from Mr. Peter regarding that her cat, C2353-Marie was having difficult to give birth for a while and it seems that there is a kitten stuck in her pelvic canal. According to Mr. Peter, he asked a quotation from the veterinary clinic but he can’t afford the expenses as he had no job now. He asked us to help. C2353-Marie was sent to a clinic for consultation and caesarean was required. She lost her two babies, C2354-Merida and C2355-Muppets. Anima–May Rescue (B151-Naomi)!

<27-05-2020> B151-Naomi, was rescued by Anima on 27th May 2020, after our staff member, Mr. Kei, informing us that he saw a plastic bag flapping at the rubbish spot and found a baby bird inside after untying the bag in Nape / Rua De Coimbra. Our Rescue team sent B151-Naomi to a clinic for treatment. B151-Naomi stays in the clinic under medical care until recover and can be released. Thanks, Mr. Kei! Please help us to help them! Anima–May Return (SPPC2347-Calista)!

<26-05-2020> SPPC2347-Calista (F), around three years old, is under our SPP and she is the mother of four kittens, SPPC2341-Calie (M), SPPC2342-Calvin (M), SPPC2343-Colleen (F) and SPPC2344-Cyris (M). She was rescued by Anima on 21st May 2020, after receive a Facebook message from Ms. Carla reporting that in her work place, Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro, there was a family of a mother cat with four unhealthy kittens. All cats were caught by Ms. Carla and they were sent to a clinic. The mother was neutered and vaccinated. Her four kittens are kept safely in the clinic. Anima–May Miscarriage (C2353, C2354, C2355)!

<26-05-2020> C2353-Marie (F), around 6 months old, was rescued by Anima on 26th may 2020, after a call from Mr. Peter regarding that her cat, C2353-Marie was having difficult to give birth for a while and today there is a kitten stuck in her pelvic canal. According to Mr. Peter, he has asked the quotation from the veterinary clinic but he can’t afford the expenses as he has no job now. He asked us to help. <26-05-2020> 1398-Alexis was one of the babies of SPP1393-Adelina that was found pregnant by Anima and has given birth to five puppies on 21 January 2015. He was adopted by Mr. Pedro on 13th April 2015. For personal reasons, the adopter decided to abandon Alexis in Macau Kennel. 1398-Alexis, around five and a half years old now, was rescued by Anima today, from Macau Kennel! Never Buy, please!
