Anima–April Rescue (2257-Pitt)!

<16-04-2020> 2257-Pitt (M), around 3 months old, was rescued by Anima on the 16th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a puppy had been injured from a dog fight in Coloane near Escola de São José de Ka-Ho. The puppy, 2257-Pitt, belongs to a family of 9 puppies and Ms. Peng found out that he has a very big wound with worms on the back of his neck. He was immediately sent to a Clinic for treatment. According to the vet, 2257-Pitt was severely anemic, need to put him under IV fluids and might need a blood transfusion. 2257-Pitt will be hospitalized for at least 2 weeks. Thanks, Ms. Peng! Anima–April Rescue (C2317-Akita)!

<15-04-2020> C2317-Akita (M), around 4 years old, was rescued by Anima on the 15th April 2020, after a call from ARTM reporting that a stray cat entered in their center and found swelling in the leg. Anima set up a cat trap to catch him there. Today, we were informed by Ms. Lam that the cat went inside. C2317-Akita was sent to a clinic to check the right front paw which was swollen. According to the vet, he has a small fracture, but he doesn’t need surgery. C2317-Akita will be staying in the clinic for one night. Thanks, Ms. Lam! Please help us to help them! <15-04-2020> C2316-Lucka (F), around 1 month old, was rescued by Anima on the 15th April 2020, after a call from Mr. Li reporting that a small kitten was found alone on the construction site opposite to Mercado Municipal de S. Lourenço where he works. The kitten was very weak, cold and had discharge on the eye and nose. She was sent immediately to a Clinic. C2316-Lucka stay under medical observation tonight. Anima–April Return (B145-Oasis)!

<14-04-2020> B145-Oasis (M), a young northern hawk cuckoo, was rescued by Anima on 13th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Ana reporting that a bird, B145-Oasis bumped into her balcony window in One Oasis (Block 8) this morning. The bird was sent to a Clinic for consultation. According to the vet, B145-Oasis has no injury. He should be released as soon as possible as wild birds are afraid of people and very difficult to survive without foraging. B145-Oasis stayed in the clinic and today was returned to Nature! <14-04-2020> C2315-Titan (M), around two years and five months old, was rescued by Anima on 20th March 2020, after we received a call from IAM (Macau Kennel) reporting that they have no space. Titan is vaccinated and have microchip. His left hind leg is amputated but he had fully recovered. C2315-Titan is welcome in our Cats’ Paradise! <14-04-2020> 2233-Stone was adopted today by Mr. Bonnaud! 2233-Stone (M), around two weeks old by the time, was rescued by ANIMA on 9th February 2020 from Macau Kennel (I.A.M), who caught him at Mong Ha Hill Municipal Park. 2233-Stone is the sibling of 2227-Sasha, 2229-Sakura, 2230-Shibani, 2231-Samantha and 2232-Smith. Anima–April Sad News (C2139-Rita)!

<14-04-2020> C2136-Rex, C2137-Raven, C2138-Roti and C2139-Rita were born on 16th June 2019, from the mother cat C2114-Raina. Today, C2139-Rita was found dead in our Cats’ Paradise. <13-04-2020> Ah Lo was adopted today by Ms. Lau! SPP726-Ah Lo was under Anima staff management in a construction site (Taipa), before being caught by IAM a few months ago. In this area Anima is helping around 60 animals. All food and medication are also fully covered by Ludwig’s fund created by Anima on April 2015! Anima–April Sad News (C1565-Gretel)!

<12-04-2020> C1565-Gretel (F), around one year old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 30th May 2017, after a call from Mr. Oscar, from Anihelp, informing that they rescued a cat in Nam Van area and the cat was unable to move. The cat was sent to a clinic for consultation and for an X-rays. Results showed that her pelvis was fractured, but no surgery was needed as she could recover by herself. Recently, C1565-Gretel refused to eat and vomits. She was sent to a clinic. According to the vet, Gretel has a severe acidemia and hypoglycemia. Her condition was getting worse and she entered in suffer. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets!...
