Anima–August Sad News (FM014-Faye)!

<24-08-2023> An adult fancy mouse, FM012-White Peach (F), and two lab rats, FM013-Kaye (F) and FM014-Faye (F) were rescued by Anima on 24th October 2022, after a call from a lady referring her situation and why she could not take care of them anymore. All were welcome to our Dogs’ Shelter. Recently, FM014-Faye was scratching her body until bleeding and she had to be hospitalized. According to the vet, they found a tumor on her neck and suspect that it was blocking her blood circulation. A surgery was recommended, but besides all medical efforts, she passed away, today. R.I.P. our friends! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–August Rescue (T038-Roliz)!

<22-08-2023> T038-Roliz (M), an adult turtle, was rescued by Anima on 22nd August 2023, after a call from Mr. Chan, reporting that he found a turtle (palm size) this morning in Praça da Ponte e Horta. He suspects that Roliz fell from some building and got lost, although the turtle has no wounds. Mr. Chan took him home in Chun Hang Garden, Rua do Padre António. He asked us to help. Our rescue team brought Roliz to our Cats’ Paradise and he is going to stay under quarantine. Thanks, Mr. Chan! Please, consider more options before abandon any animal in the streets! <22-08-2023> C2849-Otto (M), around 12 years old, C2850-Estella (F), around two years old and C2851-Batman (M), around six months old, were rescued by Anima today, after a call from IAM regarding no more space for animals. They are microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed. Otto, Estella and Batman were all welcome to our Cats’ Paradise today! Anima and IAM cooperate together to save as many animals as possible. Anima–August Sad News (C2544-Ivy)!

<16-08-2023> C2544-Ivy (F), around three years and five months old, was rescued by Anima on 10th March 2021, after a call from Ms. Cheong reporting that a cat ran into the shop bleeding from her mouth, opposite to the Red Market in Avenida de Horta e Costa. Apparently, the cat looks very fat and could be pregnant.C2544-After consultation, pregnancy was confirmed. C2544-Ivy was brought by our rescue team and welcome to Cat’s Paradise. Recently, she was hospitalized under fluids in a clinic, as she has kidney problems and she is getting skinny. Her prognosis was bad also due to other symptoms. More tests were done to make a better diagnosis. Besides all veterinary efforts, C2544-Ivy passed away today. R.I.P. our friends! Never Abandon your pets!
