Anima–September Sad News (C1520-Allie)!

<01-09-2023> C1519-Alma (F) and C1520-Allie (F), around two years and one year old, respectively, were rescued by Anima on the 9th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, reporting that she took them home yesterday and asked us if we could take to Anima all the cats she feeds in Guia as she found many have been poisoned there. C1512-Wifi was taken on the 3rd May 2017! They were welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, C1520-Allie was found with no strength to get up and she was sent to our own clinic for a previous consultation and treatment. Besides all our efforts, she passed away, after the typhoon. Anima–August Rescue (SPP2373, SPP2375)!

<29-08-2023> SPP2373-Aerobic (M), around two years old, SPP2374-Queen (F), around three years old and SPP2375-MoMo (F), around two years old back then, are under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 18th June 2021, under Mr. Ng’s responsibility in Ka Ho. Today, Mr. Ng reported to Anima that SPP2373-Aerobic was eating normal, but always having fights with other dogs, while SPP2375-MoMo was not eating enough for a few days and vomit with yellowish fluid. Both were caught and sent to a clinic for consultation. A blood test showed that SPP2375-MoMo has pancreatitis and tick fever. Also, SPP2373-Aerobic has tick fever and canine distemper. Medication was prescribed and they started the treatment according to the vet. Thanks, Mr. Ng for all your help and dedication! Please, consider more options before abandon any animal in the streets! Anima–August Sad News (C1796-Bronte)!

<29-08-2023> C1796-Bronte (F), C1797-Austin (F), C1798-Dickinson (M) and C1799-Woolf (M), were rescued by Anima on 7th December 2017, after a call from IAM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. They were all desexed by IAM. All of them stay in our Cats’ Paradise. Anima and IAM are cooperating in order to save as many animals as possible! Recently, C1796-Bronte was hospitalized in a clinic due to an intestinal tumor. Her prognosis was bad also due to advanced age and besides all medical efforts, C1796-Bronte passed away today. Anima–August Sad News (C2838-Baggie)!

<29-08-2023> C2838-Baggie (M), around six years old, was rescued by Anima, after one of our staff, Mr. Danilo, reporting that there was a large plastic bag outside of our Dogs’ Shelter with a cat, C2838-Baggie, inside. Apparently, the cat was abandoned on the street. C2838-Baggie was sent to a clinic immediately. According with the vet, he was dehydrated, he has kidney failure, heart disease, and a respiratory infection. His prognosis turned worst after more exams and besides all medical efforts, C2838-Baggie passed away today. R.I.P. our friends! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–August Rescue (C2854-Swee’ Pea)!

<28-08-2023> C2854-Swee’ Pea (F), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 28th August 2023, after a message from Ms. Choi on Facebook, reporting that she heard a tiny cat meowing from a car while she was passing on Rua Nove do Bairro Iao Hon. She suspects the tiny cat got hidden inside a car engine and asked for our help. Our rescue team was first confirming that the kitten was trapped inside a car which parked there. I.A.M. and Fire Department were contacted to help us as well. The kitten, C2854-Swee’ Pea was rescued successfully and she was brought to our Cats’ Paradise! Thanks, Ms. Choi! Anima–August Sad News (FM014-Faye)!

<24-08-2023> An adult fancy mouse, FM012-White Peach (F), and two lab rats, FM013-Kaye (F) and FM014-Faye (F) were rescued by Anima on 24th October 2022, after a call from a lady referring her situation and why she could not take care of them anymore. All were welcome to our Dogs’ Shelter. Recently, FM014-Faye was scratching her body until bleeding and she had to be hospitalized. According to the vet, they found a tumor on her neck and suspect that it was blocking her blood circulation. A surgery was recommended, but besides all medical efforts, she passed away, today. Anima–August Rescue (T038-Roliz)!

<22-08-2023> T038-Roliz (M), an adult turtle, was rescued by Anima on 22nd August 2023, after a call from Mr. Chan, reporting that he found a turtle (palm size) this morning in Praça da Ponte e Horta. He suspects that Roliz fell from some building and got lost, although the turtle has no wounds. Mr. Chan took him home in Chun Hang Garden, Rua do Padre António. He asked us to help. Our rescue team brought Roliz to our Cats’ Paradise and he is going to stay under quarantine. Thanks, Mr. Chan! Please, consider more options before abandon any animal in the streets! <18-08-2023> An adult fancy mouse, FM012-White Peach (F), and two lab rats, FM013-Kaye (F) and FM014-Faye (F) were rescued by Anima on 24th October 2022, after a call from a lady referring her situation and why she could not take care of them anymore.
