Anima-Umac Choi Kai Yau College visited us!

<14-04-2018> Today, 81 people visited us, nine of them were from Choi Kai Yau College of University of Macau that came to our Dog Shelter! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2017, we had 9,251 visitors an increase of 23% as compared with 7,519 in 2016! 137 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in 34 events organized by friends or by us! This year, up to March 2018, Anima received 2261 visitors, 25 groups of schools, companies and associations and we have been out in three events! Anima–April Rescue (2021-Paul Pinto)!

<14-04-2018> 2021-Paul Pinto (M), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 14th April 2018, after a call from the owner informing that the dog was aggressive to her family and kids.  According to her her youngest son was bitten by 2021-Paul Pinto and she was worried about that. Anima- Please Help us! Do not let Anima die!

<13-04-2018> Dear friends, Every year we begin our activity with accumulated debts. In 2018, we opened with debts carried forward of MOP 2,409,018.04, a consequence of our increased activity. As you know, Anima runs two shelters and thousands of animals in sites, and helps IACM handling the dogs in Coloane Kennel. The food and cleaning materials are provided by IACM and the staff by Anima! These animals are kept alive even if they belong to IACM! This was our agreement! A good agreement! Our expenses last year totalized around 10 million patacas but we were able to generate almost the same money to pay the bills but not the accumulated debts. However, this year the scenario seems very complicated as the funds we usual receive in the beginning of the year to pay accumulated debts and the expenses of the first months may not come. Anima–April Sad News (SPP1935-Keelan)!

<13-04-2018> SPP1935-Keelan (F), was under our Special Protection Program since 14th October 2017 when she was around eight months old, was rescued by anima on 8th April 2018 after a call from Ms. Peng informing that SPP1935-Keelan was lethargic, paralyzed and with seizures. SPP1935-Keelan was sent to a clinic immediately. The result showed that she has Canine Distemper. SPP1935-Keelan stayed at the clinic for close observation and treatment. SPP1935-Keelan was suffering from seizures and the virus started attacking the nerve system. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima – April Rescue (SPP1704-Dorie)!

<13-04-2018> The mother dog SPP1700-Debbie (F) and her five puppies,  SPP1701-Darlin (F), SPP1702-Delina (F), SPP1703-Demi (F), SPP1704-Dorie (F) and SPP1705-Darcy,  under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima on 17th April 2016. They lived in Coloane and Mr. Kwok was responsible for them. Today we sent SPP1704-Dorie to a clinic for desex surgery. Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–April Rescue and dog under SPP (SPP2020-Becca)!

<13-04-2018> SPP2020-Becca (F), around two years old,  now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 13th April 2018, after a call from Ms. Ruby reporting that SPP2020-Becca gave birth to six puppies a few months ago but all of them died from Canine Distemper. She asked us for help as she worried SPP2020-Becca will be pregnant again. SPP2020-Becca was sent to a clinic for desex surgery today. She will be returned to her place after neuter. Anima–Rescue and Return to Family (2019-Lucky)!

<13-04-2018> 2019-Lucky (F), around six years old, was rescued by Anima on 13th April 2018, after a call from a Pet Shop informing us that someone has found 2019-Lucky on street. Ms. Maria asked us for help as her dog Lucky was missing since 27th March 2018. We helped her to post Lucky’s information on our website and facebook on 2nd April 2018. Anima–April Rescue (C1877-C1880)!

<12-04-2018> C1877-Van (M), around three years old, C1878-Gogh (M), around two years old, C1879-Monet (F), around two years old and C1880-Degas (F), around nine years old, were rescued by Anima on 12th April 2018, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. All of them were neutered, vaccinated and received microchips at IACM. C1877-Van has a clipping wound and was bleeding a little. C1880-Degas was walking wobbly. All of them will stay at Cats’ Paradise for quarantine. Anima and IACM are cooperating in order to save as many animals as possible! Thanks IACM! Please help us to help them!
