Anima–September Foster (C609-Grita)!

<06-09-2017> The two typhoons caused a huge damage in our dogs’ shelter and Cat’s Paradise. Especially the free area of our Cat’s Paradise was almost completed destroyed! Ceilings were broken by fall down trees and all the nets protecting the cats were destroyed! As so, we asked urgently help from our community friends to foster our animals until we fix the ceilings. Anima–September Rescue (SPPC1244-Jeff)!

<05-09-2017> SPPC1244-Jeff (M), on the time around three months old,  under our Special Protection Program was rescued by Anima on 27th July 2016, after a call from Michele, reporting that SPPC1244-Jeff needed medical care. SPPC1244-Jeff was brought back to Anima again on 6th April 2017 and 19th July 2017 due to gingivitis. Today Jeff was back to Anima because he was dehydrated and weak. His gingivitis was getting worse and cause him pain to eat. He is staying with us under treatment now. Thanks Michele! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! September New Cats under SPP (SPPC1700-SPPC1702)!

<05-09-2017> SPPC1700-Corra (F) and SPPC1701-Colt (M), both around two months old, SPPC1702-Pip (M), around four months old, now all under our Special Protection Program (SPP), were rescued by Anima on 5th September 2017, after a call from Ms. Cheng reporting that there were some kittens that need to be neutered, somewhere in Taipa. Ms. Cheng is responsible for them in that area. She will contact us once the kittens are old enough to receive the surgery. Anima will support the neuter and the medical care for them. Anima–September Rescue (C1698, C1699)!

<05-09-2017> C1698-Becca (F), around one year old and C1699-Butch (M), around eight months old, were rescued by Anima on 5th September 2017, after a call from our rescue team reporting that two injured cats were found during their daily feeding, in a site of Ka-Ho. Accordng to the people from the site, those two cats got injured during typhoon day and they have been hiding. C1698-Becca has a long cut wound from the face to the upper chest. She is staying with us under medication and treatment. C1699-Butch’s right hind leg was broken. He was sent to a clinic and is staying there for surgery. Please help us to help them! Anima–September Sad News (1912-Coco)!

<04-09-2017> 1912-Coco (F), on the time around one week old, was rescued by Anima on 22nd July 2017, after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that a puppy was found alone in Areia Preta. 1912-Coco was checked by our vet and dewormed. She was fostered by our supervisor Zoe temporarily as she needed milk feeding. 1912-Coco was checked in our clinic few days ago as her spirit and appetite were not good. She had umbilical hernia and yellowish nasal discharge. She was under medication and observation but unfortunately she couldn’t make it. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima–September Rescue (SPP1925-Stefan)!

<04-09-2017> SPP1925-Stefan (M), around three years old,  now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 4th September 2017, after a call from Ms. Hoi reporting that a dog was hit by a car in a site. SPP1925-Stefan was sent to a clinic for consultation and subject to an x-ray. The report showed that he is paralysed as his spine was broken. According to the vet, there is not much chance that he can walk again even if he has a surgery. Anima has not capacity to handle this situation  in its shelter as Anima has  around 400 dogs and 300 cats in its shelters and has  only 21 handlers and no space at all for him! We can’t provide a suitable environment for him in our overcrowded shelter and he is in pain unless under sedation. We have asked other animal welfare associations if they have capacity to handle this case, but they...

Anima–September Rescue and Sad News (1924-Aida)!

<03-09-2017> 1924-Aida (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd September 2017, after a call from Mr. Chio around 2 am reporting that a dog was hit by a car in Seac Pac Van and was unable to move. Mr. Chio sent 1924-Aida to a clinic but she couldn’t make it. She passed away in the morning, and the cause of death was internal bleeding. R.I.P. my friend! Thanks Mr. Chio!
