Anima–August Sad News (C1124-Wai Wai)!

<22-08-2017> C1124-Wai Wai (M) and C1125-Mimi, around 7.5 years old, were rescued by Anima on 17th February 2016, after a call from Mr. Sek reporting that C1124-Wai Wai and C1125-Mimi originally belonged to his father, who passed away one year before. His father’s will was that someone could take care of the cats. Mr. Sek inherited his will and had been feeding them for a while. He thought it would be better if the cats were taken care by us. We considered this as an abandonment but we wanted the best for the cats. Wai Wai was getting sick since one month ago. He had upper respiratory tract infections, gingivitis with nasal and ocular discharge and dehydration. He had been under treatment but he couldn’t make it, and the cause of death was FIP. Anima–August Rescue and Return (SPP1406-Money)!

<22-08-2017> SPP1406-Money (F), on the time around 4.5 years old that was under our Special Protection Program since 7th February 2015, lives in a friendly association, somewhere in Coloane. We were informed that Money had been vomiting in the morning. We found some onion in her food bowl, suspected to have onion toxicity. She was brought to Anima and checked by our vet. A report showed that everything was alright, and we will keep an eye on her in the next few days. She was returned to her former place after consultation. Today we were informed that Money was limping. She has skin problem and also some bruises were found in the leg. Money is backed to her place after medication prescribed. Please help us to help them! Anima–August Rescue (SPPC1694-SPPC1697)!

<22-08-2017> SPPC1694-Judd (M), around five months old, SPPC1695-Kim (M), around three months old, SPPC1696-Kirk (M) and SPPC1697-Kyra (F), both around four months old, are now under our Special Protection Program, after being rescued by Anima on 22nd August 2017, through Michele, reporting that four kittens needed medication support. SPPC1694-Judd’s left eye seems blind already and he also has nasal and ocular discharge. He is staying with us under medication and observation. SPPC1695-Kim, SPPC1696-Kirk and SPPC1697-Kyra, all healthy,  were back to their place after dewormed. Michele is responsible for them in that area. Thanks Michele! Please help us to help them! Anima–August Return to Family (C1081-Chibi)!

<21-08-2017> C1081-Chibi was returned to the family after accommodating in Anima for 26 days since 27th July 2017. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 600). Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! So, this program is also conceived to convince community members to be our members and adopters! For a dog, for instance, for a 15 days period, the savings is 750 patacas and for cats 450 patacas, enough to pay one annual membership fees in the first case and nine months of membership fees in case...

Associação Geral dos Moradores de Macau visited us!

<21-08-2017> Today, 63 people visited us, 15 and 11 of them, respectively, were from  Associação Geral dos Moradores de Macau that came to our dog shelter and Cat’s Paradise! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to July 2017, Anima received 5,601 visitors, an increase of 33.8% as compared with the same period of last year. 83 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 29.7%, and we have been in 28 events organized by friends or by us, an increase of 40%! Anima–August Sad News (C669-Makita)!

<20-08-2017> C669-Makita (F) was rescued by Anima on 10th March 2014 near Macau Daily Times by a police officer who was on his way to work. Makita was adopted on 4th April 2014. However, Makita was returned on 10th March 2016. The adopter was leaving Macau and, according to her, she had no condition to bring the cat with her. We have disagreed with her decision and considered this as an abandonment but we want the best for the cat, receiving her again.. C669-Makita stopped eating three days ago. She had been under force feeding and dripping since that. Unfortunately she passed away this morning, and the cause of death was FIP. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima–August Adoption (C1408-Rachel)!

<19-08-2017> Rachel was adopted by Mr. Lim on 19th August 2017! C1408-Rachel (F), C1409-Ralph (M) and C1410-Ranald (M), on the time all with an estimated age of few days old, were rescued by Anima on 30th January 2017, after a call from Ms. Shibani, reporting that three kittens were found in a carton box near a garbage bin at Rua do Caetano. They were fostered temporarily by our supervisor Zoe as they needed milk feeding. Now Rachel was adopted! Thanks Mr. Lim! Please Adopt and never Buy!
