Anima–July Rescue (R035-Gus)!

<11-07-2017> R035-Gus (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 11th July 2017, after a call from Ms. Lau reporting that a rabbit was abandoned in a pet transport bag on a motorcycle in Estra. da Bela Vista. The motorcycle's owner informed us that R035-Gus doesn't belong to her. R035-Gus was checked by our vet and dewormed. He is staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise now. Thanks Ms. Lau! Anima–July Rescue (C1639-Troy)!

<11-07-2017> C1639-Troy (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 11th July 2017, after a call from Mr. Si reporting that he rescued a cat one month ago and his friend was taking care of the cat temporarily. He asked our help as his friend has no condition to keep the cat anymore. C1639-Troy was checked by our vet and dewormed. He had gingivitis and fever and is staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise now. Thanks Mr. Si! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–Donation from Yuet Wah College Carnival!

<10-07-2017> Anima has participated in Yuet Wah College Carnival on 10th June 2017 and we took seven of our dogs with us. Our Vice-President Mr. Billy Chan represented Anima. All income after deduction of all costs was donated to Anima. Today we received MOP 2,050, seven packs of cat can food and six bags of dog dry food from Yuet Wah ‘WeWa’ Voluntary Corps. Anima–July Rescue (C1638-Dylan)!

<10-07-2017> C1638-Dylan (M), around one week old, was rescued by Anima on 10th July 2017, after a call from Ms. Ho reporting that a kitten was found alone in a rain drainage near Colegio de St. Rosa de Lima. Anima–July Return to Family (1905-Chiwa)!

<10-07-2017> 1905-Chiwa (F), around nine years old, was rescued by Anima on 4th July 2017, after a call from Mr. Chan reporting that his neighbor found some bad smell and barking from an apartment in Taipa, since one week ago. Mr. Chan tried to find out what happened but there was no one answered the door. He also tried to contact the apartment’s owner but failed. We asked Fire Department to help and finally 1905-Chiwa was rescued. A family relative opened the door and accepted to give her to us. She had no microchip at all! 1905-Chiwa had some skin problem and was dehydrated. She was staying in our dog shelter. Now the owner showed up. Ms. Lok today informed us that she is the owner of 1905-Chiwa. She said she is pregnant recently and she is going to the apartment to check on 1905-Chiwa. Anima-Temporary Accommodation (1827-Eris)!

<10-07-2017> 1827-Eris, is now accommodated in Anima for 20 days, until 29th July 2017, by our member Ms. Irene. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 360). Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! So, this program is also conceived to convince community members to be our members and adopters! For a dog, for instance, for a 15 days period, the savings is 750 patacas and for cats 450 patacas, enough to pay two annual membership fees in the first case and one and a quarter year of membership...

<09-07-2017> Today, 34 people visited us, five of them were from Macau Anglican College that came to our Cat’s Paradise to do volunteer work!  Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life!  More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to June 2017, Anima received 4,856 visitors, an increase of 32.2% as compared with the same period of last year. 73 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 25.9%, and we have been in 20 events organized by friends or by us, an increase of 17.6%! Anima–July Return to the Mother Nature (B072-Sunny)!

<08-07-2017> B072-Sunny, on the time around few days old, was rescued by Anima on 2nd July 2017, after a call from our staff reporting that a baby bird was found outside our main entrance with a paper bag. B072-Sunny has been staying in a clinic for force feeding. We were informed by the clinic that Sunny is able to eat and fly now. Sunny was released in the trail near Anima! Fly free my friend!
