Anima-Temporary Accommodation (1827-Eris)!

<10-07-2017> 1827-Eris, is now accommodated in Anima for 20 days, until 29th July 2017, by our member Ms. Irene. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 360). Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! So, this program is also conceived to convince community members to be our members and adopters! For a dog, for instance, for a 15 days period, the savings is 750 patacas and for cats 450 patacas, enough to pay two annual membership fees in the first case and one and a quarter year of membership...

Anima–Macau Anglican College visited us!

<09-07-2017> Today, 34 people visited us, five of them were from Macau Anglican College that came to our Cat’s Paradise to do volunteer work!  Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life!  More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to June 2017, Anima received 4,856 visitors, an increase of 32.2% as compared with the same period of last year. 73 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 25.9%, and we have been in 20 events organized by friends or by us, an increase of 17.6%! Anima–July Return to the Mother Nature (B072-Sunny)!

<08-07-2017> B072-Sunny, on the time around few days old, was rescued by Anima on 2nd July 2017, after a call from our staff reporting that a baby bird was found outside our main entrance with a paper bag. B072-Sunny has been staying in a clinic for force feeding. We were informed by the clinic that Sunny is able to eat and fly now. Sunny was released in the trail near Anima! Fly free my friend! Anima–July Sad News (C1631-Amari)!

<08-07-2017> C1631-Amari (F), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 5th July 2017, after a call from Mr. Lei reporting that a kitten with eyes infected was found near the public toilet in Guia Hill. C1631-Amari was checked by our vet and dewormed. She had maggots all over her body as well. She was fostered by our Cat Supervisor Effie temporarily as she needed force feeding. Anima–July Sad News (C1465-Vantor)!

<08-07-2017> C1465-Vantor (M), with an estimated age of seven years old, was rescued by Anima on 22nd March 2017 after a call from Pousada de Coloane, informing that C1465-Vantor was getting skinner recently, drooling from the mouth and seemed to have skin problems. The cat was very scared of people and they asked whether we could help to catch and provide medical assistance to him. C1465-Vantor was caught and brought to Anima and checked by our vet. He had severe gingivitis and skin problems and hair loss on the back. C1465-Vantor had been getting sick and under dripping since two weeks ago. Unfortunately he passed away this morning. Anima–July Rescue (C1637-Liam)!

<08-07-2017> C1637-Liam (M), around five months old, was rescued by Anima on 8th July 2017, after a call from Ms. Iao reporting that there were two cats living in an old building in Rua de Cinco de Outubro and the building will be demolished very soon. Ms. Iao caught one of them and asked our help. C1637-Liam was checked by our vet and dewormed. He is staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise now. Ms. Iao will try to catch the remain one tonight. Anima–Agreement between Anima and Cotai Water Jet!

<07-07-2017> After negotiations with Cotai Water Jet, it was agreed that from July 2017 on, and for a trial period of six months: when you travel back to your country using Hong Kong Airport, you can now transport your pet (only dogs or cats) from Cotai (Taipa) to Macau Ferry Terminal in Hong Kong (Sheung Wan), provided the cage of your pet can be transported by you in one hand! For that you need to contact Cotai Water Jet four days in advance and buy all seats of a cabine having all the papers of your pet and transit permits in order! As you know now the situation is that: the pets are being transported by a cargo boat in Macau Inner Port during all night to Hong Kong before they go to the Airport! Anima–July Sad News (C1618-Marco)!

<07-07-2017> C1618-Marco (M), C1619-Milton (M) and C1620-Muriel (M), all around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 28th June 2017, after a call from Ms. Bing reporting that three kittens were found in a street of Barra. No mother was around. She asked our help as the kittens were too young to survive by themselves. They were fostered by our Supervisor Zoe temporarily as they need milk feeding. C1618-Marco was checked by our vet few days ago as he had diarrhea. He also had hypothermia and intestinal parasites, medication was prescribed. Unfortunately he passed away during the night.
