Anima–January Sad News (C1339-Kanzi)!

<25-01-2023> C1339-Kanzi (F), one of our adult cats, has been living in our Cats’ Paradise since her rescue. Recently, C1339-Kanzi was found weak and getting skinny. She was sent to a clinic for consultation and health exams. According to the vet, not only there was a liver problem but also could might be FIP. Besides all our and medical efforts, C1339-Kanzi passed away today. R.I.P. our friend! Please Adopt and Never Buy! Never Abandon your pet! He is not a toy! Anima–January Rescue (C2783-Morton)!

<23-01-2023> C2783-Morton (M), an adult cat, was rescued by Anima on 23rd January 2023, after a call from Ms. Cheang, reporting that a volunteer found a cat that may have eaten something poisonous at Macau Earth Temple. The cat had neurological symptoms that unable him to walk. She asked us to help. C2783-Morton (M) was sent to a clinic immediately. Blood test was done, and results revealed that he has severe anemia and high liver values. Also, a blood transfusion would be needed. C2783-Morton will be hospitalized in the clinic under continuous and specific medical care. Thanks, Ms. Cheang! Please help us to help them! Anima–January Sad News (C1819-Chewie)!

<20-01-2023> C1818-Leia (F), C1819-Chewie (F), C1820-Yoda (F) and C1821-Amilyn (F), were rescued by Anima on 3rd January 2018, after a call from IAM reporting that they did not have enough space for more cats. They were all desexed by IAM. All were welcomed in our Cat’s Paradise! Recently, C1819-Chewie was not eating and spirit seemed bad, getting lethargic and unable to walk. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, there is a reserved prognosis. Besides all medical efforts, Chewie passed away today in the clinic. R.I.P. our friend! Anima–January Sad News (C2164-Sindy)!

<19-01-2023> C2164-Sindy (F), around eight years old, was rescued by Anima on the 14th July 2019, after a call from a lady saying that her neighbor was hospitalized and passed her the key to his house, so she could take care of the place, where he had three cats and three turtles. The lady asked us to collect the cats, with owner’s authorization. All were welcomed in our Cat’s Paradise! Recently, C2164-Sindy vomited twice and she is not eating, with a weak behavior. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, Sindy has an intra-abdominal hemorrhage, suspected from her liver, as she was diagnosed with swollen liver before. Blood transfusion was considered to temporarily improve her condition, but might not be a long-term and sustainable solution if her internal bleeding is not stopped. Anima–January Adoption (C2724-BB)!

<18-01-2023> C2724-BB was adopted today, by Mr. Chan! C2724-BB (M), around one year and six months old back then, was rescued by Anima on 6th July 2022, after a Facebook message from Ms. Lei referring that she saw a skinny cat with skin problem at Chun Pek Garden. The cat was later caught by IAM and desexed. C2724-BB received vaccines and he was microchipped. Our rescue team brought C2724-BB from Macau Kennel to be welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Anima-YMCA Organic Tree helped us!

<18-01-2023> Today, we were visited by 20 people, of which five were from YMCA-Organic Tree. This group gave us a precious help volunteering at our Cats’ Paradise. Our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers for the commitment and support to our cause! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2021, we were visited by 10,589 people, compared with 10,495 visitors in 2020.
