Anima–March Rescue (1476-Stark and C1477-Stoma)!

<03-04-2017> 1476-Stark (M), around six years old and C1477-Stoma (F), around seven years old, were rescued by Anima on 3rd April 2017, after a call from Ms. Hoi, informing that they belong to a workshop in Hac Sa beach, but they got sick recently and the workshop stopped taking care of them. They were checked by our vet and de-wormed. Both cats were in bad shape. C1476-Stark was skinny and has severe skin problems, hair loss everywhere all over the body and full of fleas. C1477-Stoma was severely dehydrated, full of ocular and nasal discharge and drooling from the mouth. C1476-Stark is staying in Cat Paradise for quarantine and treatment. C1477-Stoma is staying in V6 under IV dripping and close observation Thanks Ms. Hoi! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima-April Adoption (C1383-Wonton)!

<02-04-2017> Wonton was adopted by Mrs. Ingrid on 2nd April 2017! C1380-Amble (F), was rescued by Anima on 10th January 2017, with an estimated age of three years old, after a call from Mr. Iong reporting that he found a pregnant cat near Pou Tai Un Monastery. Amble was checked by our vet and dewormed. Two kittens C1383-Wonton (F) and C1384-Shui Gao (F) were born by her on 13th January 2017! Wonton was now adopted! Thanks Mrs. Ingrid! Anima–April Foster (1356-Melty)!

<02-04-2017> Melty was fostered by Mr. Andrew! 1356-Melty (M), around two years and five months, was rescued by Anima on 24th December 2014, after a call from Mr. Wong reporting that he found two puppies in a carton box in Hac-Sa beach (Barbecue area) near a garbage bin. Anima –6th China Companion Animal Symposium!

<01 to 04-04-2017> Anima was invited by China Cat and Dog Welfare of Animals Asia (China) to participate as speaker in the 6th China Companion Animal Symposium, in Chengdu, Sichuan (China). Our topic was about shelter management. Our Dogs Supervisor, Ms. Zoe, was our speaker and our Vice-President Mr Billy Chan attended also the event. Around 160 people attended this event in Mainland China! The delegations have later a visit to the Sichuan Longqiao Black Bear Rescue Center of Animals Asia. Anima has organized or participated out of its shelters in nine events in 2017, up to March! Thanks Animals Asia! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Anima – Pui Cheng Middle School visited us!

<01-04-2017> Today, 120 people visited us, 21 were from Pui Cheng Middle School that visited our Cats’ Paradise! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to March 2017, Anima received 2,603 visitors, an increase of 35.7% as compared with the same period of last year. 28 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, and we have been in nine events organized by friends or by us! Anima–April Adoption (C1375 and SPPC1318)!

<01-04-2017> Nam Nam and Squiggle were adopted by Mr. Ronnie Conde Vaz on 1st April 2017! C1375-Nam Nam (M), with an estimated age of three months old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd January 2017, after a call from Ms. Fan reporting that she found a kitten in Tv. da Cordoaria, Coloane. Nam Nam had an eye infection, was skinny and full of fleas. He was sneezing with severe conjunctivitis as well. There was a risk of losing the vision. SPPC1318-Squiggle (M), on the time with an estimated age of three months old, was under our Special Protection Program and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 24th October 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Squiggle was brought to Anima because he was slightly dehydrated and very skinny. He had upper respiratory infection and watery discharge on both eyes. They were now both adopted. Thanks Ms. Ronnie! Anima–April Rescue and Sad News (C1475-Mano)!

<01-04-2017> C1475-Mano (M), with an estimated age of six months, was rescued by Anima, after a call from Mr. Chan, informing that a cat was hit by a car in Rua da Cordoaria. C1475-Mano was checked by out vet. He was paralyzed, very weak, having difficulty in breathing, with blood nasal discharge, panting and in deep pain, many bone fractures and several holes in the body showing the intestines. There was no way to save him without putting him in more serious pain. After discussion with our vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! Thanks Mr. Chan! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–March Rescue (1870-Flavia)!

<31-03-2017> 1870-Flavia (F), with an estimated age of two months, was rescued by Anima on 31st March 2017, after a call from Mr. Chen, informing that Flavia was found in a construction site near Estrada do Istmo and she had a severe wound on her back. 1870-Flavia was checked by out vet and de-wormed. Anima–Abandonment (1869-Aka)!

<31-03-2017> 1869-Aka (F), around two years old was rescued by Anima on 31st March 2017. She was thrown over our main gate to pen 20A, and happily she stayed over the ceiling of our dogs’ houses, otherwise she could be killed by the other six dogs that we have there. As we have a cooperation with IACM we decided to put her there  until we are capable to find a space for her, which is very difficult. However, there is a risk for her being in IACM!  Some people is trying to cheat us thinking that we will do Anima as a big warehouse of animals! Wrong! We will not do this as this is not good for the animals under our protection and is not good for any animal! We are not a collector of animals! We don't cage! We are only concentrated in animals in risk as our space is...
