Anima–Rescue and New Cat Under SPP (SPPC1429-Cadmus)!

<22-02-2017> SPPC1429-Cadmus (M), with an estimated age of five years old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 22nd February 2017, somewhere in Taipa. Cadmus was checked by our vet and dewormed. He has severe skin problem and hair loss on the back and is staying with us for castration now. Thanks Michele! Please help us to help them! Rescue and Temporary Accommodation (SPP1856-Hugo)!

<20-02-2017> SPP1856-Hugo (M), that was under our Special Protection Program (SPP) when rescued by Anima on 10th February 2017, when he was around two years old, after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that a dog got an open wound on the body during a fight in a site of Coloane. Hugo received a surgery to stitch up the wound. He was returned to his former place after the surgery. Mr. Leong is responsible for him in that area. Hugo was supposed to remove the stitches today, but we found the wound is not healed yet. So, he is staying with us until he recovers. Thanks Mr. Leong! Please help us to help them! Anima–February Rescue (C1427-Leona)!

<20-02-2017> C1427-Leona (F), few days old, was rescued by Anima on 20th February 2017, after a call from Ms. Lam reporting that a kitten was inside a plastic bag in Rua Oeste do Mercado de São Domingos. Anima–February Pictures of our Dogs’ Paradise!

<19-02-2017> Do you know that our Cats’ Paradise is really part of five paradises? First paradise is dedicated to Cats. This was really our main goal. Second paradise is dedicated to Dogs. We have there around 10 dogs which are the best protectors of our cats! Third paradise is the Turtles’ paradise. We have a big tank where they are protected. All turtles are rescued turtles! Fourth paradise is the Rabbits’ paradise! We still have three rabbits in Anima. Fifth paradise is the environment. Our friends of Asia Landscape is planting a lot of trees and plants in all areas making the space very beautiful. The work is still not finished, but the beauty is already there. Anima-FAOM Visited Us!

<19-02-2017> Today, 108 people visited our Dog Shelter and Cat’s Paradise, 16 of them were from FAOM! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to January 2017, Anima received 788 visitors, an increase of 22% as compared with the same period of last year! Anima-February New Born and Sad News (C1426-Dawn)!

<18-02-2017> C1421-Saniya (F), was rescued by Anima on 10th February 2017, when she was around one year old, after a call from Mr. Lo reporting that he used to feed cats in a place of Macau and there was a female cat that got pregnant. Saniya was checked by our vet and dewormed. She was staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise. One kitten, C1426-Dawn, was found miscarried by her today. Saniya was sent to a clinic as she needed a cesarean surgery to remove the rest of the kittens. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-February Sad News (982-Zima)!

<18-02-2017> 982-Zima (F), with an estimated age of 4.5 years old now, was rescued by Anima on 14th February 2013, after a call from Ms. Eszter reporting that a dog was found in Ka-Ho. Zima was  getting slim. She was diagnosed in the last stage of kidney failure,  was very weak, dehydrated, skinny and was vomiting and has bloody diarrhea in the past two days. She entered in pain and began to suffer! There was not much we could do for her. After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets!
