Anima–February Adoption (C1376-Udon)!

<12-02-2017> Udon was adopted by Ms. Ng on 12th February 2017! C1376-Udon (F), C1377-Soba (F), C1378-Ramen (M) and C1379-Somen (M), were rescued by Anima on 8th January 2017, when they were around one month old, after a call from Mr. Iong reporting that he used to feed a female cat but the cat was bitten by a dog and died  few days ago. The female cat left four kittens and Mr. Iong didn’t know how to take care of them. Udon and Ramen were fostered temporarily by our cat supervisor Connie, Soba and Somen were fostered temporarily by our assistant supervisor Effie, as they needed milk feeding. Udon has stayed with us until now. Thanks Ms. Ng! Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima–Temporary Accommodation (SPP1484-Daxon)!

<12-02-2017> See Daxon now and before! SPP1484-Daxon and SPP1483-Dax were under Anima Special Protection Program on 26th June 2015, after a call from Ms. Ah Peng reporting that two puppies (on the time with an estimated age of 2.5 months old) were found sick somewhere in Coloane! Anima-February Sad News (C552-Serena)!

<12-02-2017> C552-Serena (F), was rescued by Anima on 20th July 2013, after a call from Fatima reporting that a cat needed our help. Serena was found getting skinny and dehydrated one week ago. She was under medication and observation since that. She had hypothermia, the mouth smelled, the gum line was red as well. Most of the premolar and molar teeth on the upper right got removed. The upper left and the two upper canine teeth got thick tartar and had infection. Unfortunately she was found passed away this afternoon due to liver problem. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–February Rescue (C1424-Carla)!

<12-02-2017> C1424-Carla (F), with an estimated age of eight months old, was rescued by Anima on 12th February 2017, after a call from Ms. Mary reporting that a cat was trapped in the terrace of a building at Rua de Francisco Xavier Pereira. Anima-February New Born Kittens (C1422, C1423)!

<11-02-2017> C1406-Karen (F), was rescued by Anima on 29th January 2017, when she was around two years old, after a call from Ms. Koo reporting that she used to feed two cats in Hellen Garden and one of them was injured. The injured one, C1402-Kirin, was rescued on 25th January 2017. He was attacked by a new cat over there. His eye was swollen with watery blood coming out. He was checked by our vet and dewormed. The left eye lid got a long cutting wound and four stitches were required to close it up. He has stayed with us under close observation and medication. We set up a trap and the sibling, C1406-Karen, was caught on 29th January 2017. Karen was staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise. She got pregnant before we caught her. Anima–February Adoption (SPPC1293-Homer)!

<11-02-2017> Homer was adopted by Mr. Rodrigues on 11th February 2017! SPPC1292-Ava (F), SPPC1293-Homer (M) and SPPC1294-Pigeon (F), were rescued by Anima through Michele when they were around five months old, on 24th September 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Ava had upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis. She was sneezing, the right eye lid was reddish and inflamed. She was under medication. Homer and Pigeon were healthy and stayed with us for adoption. Homer and Pigeon were adopted on 1st December 2016. However, they were returned on 11th December 2016 as the adopter said they were always fighting with each other, especially during midnight, which caused a lot of noise and their neighbours were complaining. Anima–February Adoption (C1341, SPPC1325)!

<11-02-2017> Kobe and Becky were adopted by Mr. Tam on 11th February 2017! C1341-Kobe (F), was rescued by Anima on 20th November 2016, when she was around 1.5 months old, after a call from Ms. Hui reporting that a kitten was found in Jardim de S. Francisco. Kobe was checked by our vet and dewormed. She was fostered by our cat supervisor, Ms. Connie, temporarily as she needed force feeding. The mother, SPPC1324-Polly (F), on the time with an estimated age of three years old, together with her kittens, SPPC1325-Becky (F), SPPC1326-Sawyer (M) and SPPC1327-Huck (M), on the time all with an estimated age of 1.5 months old, were under our Special Protection Program (SPP) and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 7th November 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Anima-Escola Primária Oficial Luso-Chinesa Visited Us!

<11-02-2017> Today, 39 people visited our dog shelter, 32 of them were from Escola Primária Oficial Luso-Chinesa ''Sir Robert Ho Tung''! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8 per cent! This year, up to January 2017, Anima received 788 visitors, an increase of 22% as compared with the same period of last year! Anima–February Temporary Accomodation (SPP1123-Ruby)

<10/02/2017> SPP1123-Ruby (Maly) is now accommodated in Anima until 13th February 2017. Ruby was one dog under our S.P. Program that was adopted. This facility is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 360). Who has adopted one animal from Anima does not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided we have space and the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! So, this program is also conceived to convince community members to be our members. For a dog, for instance, for a 15 days period, the savings is 750 patacas and for cats 450, enough to pay two annual membership fees in the first case and one and a quarter year of membership fees in...
