Anima-January Sad News (SPP1833-Jenkin)!

<08-01-2017> SPP1833-Jenkin (M), was under our Special Protection Program (SPP) and was rescued by Anima on 2nd January 2017, with an estimated age of five years old, after a call from Ms. Rebecca reporting that a dog was found sick in a site of Coloane. According to Rebecca, Jenkin refused to eat for few days and he was getting skinny. Jenkin was sent to a clinic for consultation and he had been staying in the clinic since that. He had kidney failure with severe anemia. Unfortunately Jenkin situation get worst this morning and passed away during the emergency treatment. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-January Sad News (C1371-Weenee)!

<08-01-2017> C1371-Weenee (F), was rescued by Anima on 27th December 2016, with an estimated age of one year old, after a call from Mr. Lam reporting that a cat entered into his shop near Fai Chi Kei Health Center but he couldn’t keep the cat. She was found very weak suddenly yesterday morning, lying motionless and severely dehydrated. She was not improving today, still breathing weakly and not moving at all. She was in suffer and we the vets not capable to help her! After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–January Rescue (C1376-C1379)!

<08-01-2017> C1376-Udon (F), C1377-Soba (F), C1378-Ramen (M) and C1379-Somen (M), all with an estimated age of one month old, were rescued by Anima on 8th January 2017, after a call from Mr. Iong reporting that he used to feed a female cat but the cat was bitten by a dog and died two days ago. The female cat left four kittens and Mr. Iong does not know how to take care of them. Udon and Ramen were fostered temporarily by our cat supervisor Connie, Soba and Somen were fostered temporarily by our assistant supervisor Effie, as they still need milk feeding. <07-01-2017> Today, 41 people visited our dog shelter, 29 of them were from Yuet Wah College! Thanks for your strong support! Anima–January Return to Family (1322-Jasper)!

<07-01-2017> 1322-Jasper was returned to the family after accommodation in Anima for nine days, since 30th December 2016. 1322-Jasper (M), was rescued by Anima on 14 October 2014, with an estimated age of two months old, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that SPP1260-Mummy gave birth to nine puppies two months ago in a construction site at Ilha Verde. Jasper was adopted by Mr. João Miguel on 2nd November 2014. Rescue and New Dog Under SPP (SPP1837-Coconut)!

<07-01-2017> SPP1837-Coconut (F), with an estimated age of five months old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 7th January 2017, after a call from our rescue team reporting that they found an injured puppy, in a site of Coloane, during the daily feeding. According to a volunteer, Coconut has an owner but the owner doesn’t care much of her. Coconut got ran over by a car two days ago. She couldn’t stand, her left thigh was swollen and she was in pain. She was sent to a clinic for x-ray immediately. The report showed that the hip and the left femur got a fracture. But no surgery needed as she could heal herself later. Coconut is staying with us  now. Please help us to help them! Do not abandon your pet! Anima-January Sad News (SPPC946-Sheila)!

<07-01-2017> C946-Sheila (F), with an estimated age of nine years old now, was under our Special Protection Program (SPP), and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 7th May 2015, somewhere in Taipa. Sheila had renal failure and dehydration. She was on dripping for several months already. She was sent to a clinic for further examination on 29th December and returned to Anima on 5th January. But she refused to eat since that and was vomiting after force feeding. As so Sheila was sent to a second clinic for another opinion. According to the second vet, she was severely dehydrated, she got a wound on the right hind side. There was nothing much we could help. She was in suffer! <07-01-2017> C829-Donna (F), with an estimated age of four years old now, together with C830-Dottie (F), were rescued by Anima on 28th October 2014, after a call from Ms. Ng asking our help and reporting that she found two cats outside her shop at Rua Dois do Bairro da Areia Preta. Donna was found sick recently and had been staying in the clinic since 2nd January 2017. She was getting skinny and severe dehydrated. The breathing was not clear, coughing with nasal and eye discharge. She was diagnosed with mycoplasma positive. Her condition was getting worse even with treatment. She was in suffer already! After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! Anima–January Return to Family (C575-Zhai Zhai)!

<06-01-2017> C575-Zhai Zhai was returned to the family after accommodation in Anima for 33 days, since 4th December 2016. C575-Zhai Zhai (M), was rescued by Anima on 26th August 2013, after a call from Ms. Lam reporting that a cat was found with one leg hurt, in a site of Macau. Ms. Lam was the volunteer who helps Anima to take care of dogs and cats in the site. Zhai Zhai was sent to a clinic and stayed there for treatment. Anima decided after the recovery that he has no conditions to go back to that area and as so he became part of our family. Zhai Zhai was adopted by Mr. Victor on 19th December 2014.
