Rescue and New Dog Under SPP (SPP1830-Pousada)!

<28-12-2016> SPP1830-Pousada (F), with an estimated age of three months old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 28th December 2016, after a call from Ms. Cheng reporting that a puppy accidently entered inside the cat trap that was set by us in a place of Coloane. The cat trap is for catching  stray cats over there for neutering! Pousada was checked by our vet and has no injury. She was returned to her former place after dewormed. Ms. Cheng is responsible for her in that area. Anima will support the neuter, provide food and the medical care if needed. Unfortunately we are not capable to keep all animals! Thanks Ms. Cheng! Anima–Return and Abandonment (C854-Macaron)!

<27-12-2016> C854-Macaron (M) was born in Anima with C852-Scone and C853-Tiramisu on 3rd December 2014. The mother, C818-Kiko,  was rescued already pregnant with other cats at Rua Dois do Bairro da Areia Preta on 18th October 2014. Macaron was adopted on 30th January 2015. However, he was returned today as the adopter said their new born baby has an allergy. Macaron is staying in our Cat Paradise now. Never abandon your pet! Abandon a pet is cruelty! <27-12-2016> C1371-Weenee (F), com uma idade estimada de um ano, foi resgatada pela Anima no dia 27 de Dezembro de 2016, depois de uma chamada do Sr. Lam, informando que um gato entrara na sua loja perto do Centro de Saúde do Fai Chi Kei e que ele não podia ficar com o gato. Anima–December Rescue (C1370-Beanee)!

<27-12-2016> C1370-Beanee (F), with an estimated age of 2.5 months old, was rescued by Anima on 27th December 2016, after a call from Ms. Tai reporting that she found a kitten under her car. Ms. Tai informed us that she doesn´t want to keep Beanee as she has one cat at home already. Beanee was checked by our vet and dewormed. She is staying in our Cat Paradise now. Thanks Ms. Tai! Anima–Rescue and New Dog Under SPP (SPP1829-Borsa)!

<26-12-2016> SPP1829-Borsa (F), with an estimated age of seven years old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 26th December 2016, after a call from Ms. Gina, our Board member, reporting that her friend, Ms. Hui, used to feed a dog in a site of Taipa. Borsa got injured on the leg and the hip few days ago. We helped Ms. Hui to send Borsa to a clinic as Borsa is difficult to handle. Borsa was returned to her former place after medication prescribed. Ms. Hui is responsible for her in that area. Anima will support the neuter, provide food and the medical care if needed. Thanks Ms. Gina and Ms. Hui! Please help us to help them! Anima–Dog Under SPP Returned (SPP1711-Browny)!

<24-12-2016> Browny was released on 24th December 2016! SPP1711-Browny (F), with an estimated age of one year old, together with SPP1712-La La and SPP1713-Hac Chai 2, were under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 26th April 2016. La La and Hac Chai 2, that were caught by IACM, are now living in Coloane Kennel under our supervision. Browny was rescued by Anima on 4th December 2016, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that she accidently hit Browny in a site of Coloane. Browny’s right hind leg was limping. She was sent to a clinic and Ms. Peng was responsible for the payment of the clinic. Browny had a surgery in the same day. She has recovered and was returned to her former place today. Anima–December Return to Family (687-Rex)!

<24-12-2016> 687-Rex (M) was returned to the family after accommodation in Anima for 14 days, since 11th December 2016. Ms. Ng and the family came several times to Anima to walk Rex, before adopting Rex! Rex was adopted by Ms. Ng on 20th June 2015. Rex was one of our well known dogs, friendly with people, puppies and all dogs. He was one of our ambassadors! We are happy to see Rex again. If you adopt an animal from us, you have the privilege to leave your animal in Anima during 15 days free of charge during the first year of adoption, provided we have space. Anima-December Sad News (473-Leg Leg)!

<24-12-2016> 473-Leg Leg (M), with an estimated age of nine years old now, passed away today due to cancer. Leg Leg was found getting slim and not eating much since one week ago. We found a hard lump when we were palpating his belly and he seemed in pain. He was sent to a clinic for further examination and observation. According to the vet, there was a tumor  located near his bowel and artery. The surgery was too risky and Leg Leg might not survive during the surgery. Leg Leg was then transferred to a second clinic for another opinion. According to the second vet, the cancer had spread to his lung, liver and kidney already, there was no chance for him to survive. After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put him sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of...

<23-12-2016> 1828-Kalia (F), with an estimated age of three months old, was rescued by Anima on 23rd December 2016, after a call from a staff of a restaurant reporting that a limping puppy was found in Estrada de Hac Sa  trying to cross the road.
