Anima–December Rescue (C1353-Hyper)!

<11-12-2016> C1353-Hyper (M), with an estimated age of one year old, was rescued by Anima on 11th December 2016, after a call from Mr. Yung, reporting that a cat was trapped in a rat glue in Rua Dois do Bairro da Areia Preta. Hyper was checked by our vet and dewormed and the hair that had glue was shaved as well. He will be transferred to our Cat Paradise tomorrow. Thanks Mr. Yung! Please help us to help them! Anima–December Rescue (C1352-Super)!

<11-12-2016> C1352-Super (M), with an estimated age of eight years old, was rescued by Anima on 11th December 2016, after a call from Ms. Ng reporting that a friendly cat was abandoned in Barra. Super was sent to a clinic by Ms. Ng as he has gingivitis, stomatitis and dehydration. He was checked by our vet and dewormed. He has an ocular and nasal discharge, breathing is not clear as well. Anima–December Return to Family (1599, 1600, 1823)!

<10-12-2016> 1599-Siu Fa, 1600-Boss and 1823-Sweet Potato, were returned to the family after being accommodated in Anima for 8 days, since 3rd December 2016. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates. For dogs, 50 patacas per day and for cats 30 patacas per day. In case of members the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 360). Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! So, this program is also conceived to convince community members to be our members. For a dog, for instance, for a 15 days period, the savings is 750 patacas and for cats 450, enough to pay two annual membership fees in the first case and one and a quarter year of membership fees in case...

Anima–December Adoption (1817-Wes)!

<10-12-2016> Wes was adopted by Ms. Filipa on 10th December 2016! 1817-Wes (M), was rescued by Anima on 22nd November 2016, with an estimated age of two months old, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a puppy was found in a plastic box near Escola S. José de Ka-Ho. There were no other puppies in that area and the adult dogs were mostly neutered. Wes was checked by our vet and dewormed. He was fostered by our Supervisor Zoe temporarily. Anima–Services provided to our community (1824-Loi Loi)!

<08-12-2016> Anima help a clinic because 1824-Loi Loi (F), 14 years old, has Pyometra and severe anemia. She is having a surgery today and blood transfusion required during the operation. Our dog 561-Brownie helped Loi Loi! A fee is collected to help the financing of our activities. Some community members that cannot afford do no pay at all. Anima members are exempt! Rescue and New Cat Under SPP (SPPC1350, SPPC1351)!

<07-12-2016> SPPC1350-Jupiter (M), with an estimated age of one year old, together with SPPC1351-Moo (M), with an estimated age of 2.5 months old, now under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 7th December 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Jupiter is staying with us temporarily for castration. Moo was returned to his former place after dewormed. Michele is responsible for them in that area. Anima-December Sad News (C1173-Cheddar)!

<06-12-2016> C1173-Cheddar (F), was rescued by Anima on 21st April 2016, with an estimated age of ten months old, after a call from Mr. Wai reporting that C1173-Cheddar fell down from the terrace of Jardim da Victoria (Block H). Our rescue team found C1173-Cheddar trapped in a closed terrace of the building. She was collected, checked and dewormed. Cheddar was dehydrated, had fever and gum problems. She was recovered and stayed with us since that. Cheddar was diagnosed with Stomatitis on 28th October 2016. She refused to eat and we started to force feeding since two weeks ago, but she was still getting skinnier. She had bloody diarrhea yesterday and was sent to a clinic for further examination. According to the vet, there was a hard lump in the abdomen, which was most possibly the cause of her condition. A surgery could be done, but the success rate was lower than 10% as Cheddar was...
