Anima–Services provided to our community (862-Dotty)!

<27-10-2016> 862-Dotty (M), estimated 4.5 years old, was rescued by Anima on 30th July 2012 after a call from our staff reporting that a dog was abandoned outside Anima. Dotty was adopted by Mr. Brett on 19th August 2012. Today we helped Mr. Brett to deliver Dotty to Macau Kennel for renewing his license as he has to work. A fee is collected to help the financing of our activities. Some community members that cannot afford do no pay at all. Anima members are exempt! To be a member of Anima you just need to pay an annual fee of MOP 360 if you are an adult or MOP 120 if you are a juvenile! Please help us to help them! Never abandon your pet! Anima–October Sad News (C883-Flo)!

<27-10-2016> C883-Flo (F), with an estimated age of 16 years old, was rescued by Anima on 24th January 2015, after a call from a lady reporting that someone gave a cat to her but she has an allergy and couldn’t keep the cat. That was the explanation given to us. Flo was spayed and came from England with all vaccination updated! She had no teeth at all. We were not happy with that! Poor Flo! After so many years with her family, she was thrown away like an old toy! Flo was found with difficulty to breathe on 23rd October 2016, and as so, she was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the x-rays, she had pulmonary edema. Flo had been staying in the clinic under IV dripping and forced feeding. Unfortunately we were informed by the clinic today that she passed away due to heart failure. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help...

Anima–October Rescue (C1319-Root)!

<27-10-2016> C1319-Root (M), with an estimated age of three months old, was rescued by Anima on 27th October 2016, after a call from Ms. Leong reporting that a kitten was found in Rua de Seng Tou. Both of his eyes have an infection and could barely open. Root was checked by our vet and dewormed. He has upper respiratory tract infection and conjunctivitis, yellowish ocular and nasal discharge. Anima–October Rescue (HG001-Sonic)!

<26-10-2016> HG001-Sonic (M), five years old, was rescued by Anima on 26th October 2016, after a call from Mr. Pedro reporting that a hedgehog was found in a carton box beside the garbage bin near Ocean Garden Health Center. His right face and right eye were swollen. There were wood shavings bedding inside the box, possibly Sonic was abandoned. Sonic was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, he has teeth infection, ear infection and sarcoptic mange. He is staying in the clinic for observation now. Thanks Mr. Pedro! Please help us to help them! Anima–October Sad News (C1310-Polytec)!

<25-10-2016> C1310-Polytec (M), four months old, was rescued by Anima on 14th October 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan, reporting that a kitten was rescued by her near the bus stop of Edf. Va Pou Garden, the day before. Polytec was shaking and soaking, refused to eat and had discharge on his eyes. Ms. Chan didn’t know how to take care of him and asked our help. Polytec was checked by our vet and dewormed. He had difficulty in breathing, and showed pain when we touched his chest. He was sent to a clinic for an x-ray and further examination. He had severe pneumonia and needed to stay in the clinic for observation. He was then transferred to another clinic for a second opinion on 23rd October 2016. X-ray showed that Polytec had Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. His heart was being oppressed, and the right lung was shrinking and could hardly be seen from X-Ray. Most...

Anima-Rescue and Return (SPP1059-Shar Pei Chai)!

<24-10-2016> SPP1059-Shar Pei Chai (M), around six years old, was under our Special Protection Program since 31st August 2015, after a call from Gina referring that he was found sick somewhere in Taipa. Shar Pei Chai was sent to a clinic immediately and was diagnosed with tick fever. He was recovered and backed to his former place on 25th September 2015. He was sent to Anima again due to a nose bleeding on 24th August 2016. Medication was prescribed by our vet. He was returned to his place after consultation. Today we were informed that Shar Pei Chai seemed to have elevated body temperature and was  skinny. Shar Pei Chai was sent to a clinic and diagnosed with tick fever again. He was returned to his former place, after medication prescribed. He needs to follow up consultation after two weeks. He will be monitored closely by our rescue team. Rescue, Return and New cat under SPP (SPPC1318-Squiggle)!

<24-10-2016> SPPC1318-Squiggle (M), three months old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 24th October 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Squiggle was brought to Anima because he was slightly dehydrated and very skinny. He had upper respiratory infection and got watery discharge on both eyes. He was returned to the former place after the medication was prescribed. Michele is responsible for him in that area. Thanks Michele! Please help us to help them! Please don’t be cruel to pets! Anima- Temporarily fostered C1316, C1317)!

<24-10-2016> C1316-Cupid (Kc) (F), 10 years old, together with C1317-Moon (F), 20 years old, were delivered to Anima on 24th October 2016, after a call from Ms. Ines reporting that she is going back to Portugal and her cats need accommodation. The company that was taking care of their transfer, "forgot" that they need a blood test and the travel can only happen three months after the blood test! Cupid and Moon are fostered temporarily by our president Mr. Albano for 120 days. Anima is helping her to handle all the process of immigration to Portugal. Obrigado Sr. Albano Martins!
