Fundraising for Homeless Animals – Welfare Dinner!

The 2016 Fundraising for Homeless Animals Campaign – Ludwig’s Fund,  has ended with a welfare dinner held by Anima's Committee for the Special Protection Programme (SPP) on Friday 20th May 2016, at 7:30 pm in a restaurant in Taipa. The lucky draw of the 10 most expensive prizes happened during the dinner, as well as the auction of valuable offers for this 9th Fundraising for Homeless Animals event, coordinated by Gina Rangel, Anima Board member and founder. All money raised in this campaign will go toward Ludwig’s Fund for helping homeless animals. We thank all our sponsors, friends and volunteers that have been committed to this event, especially Gina Rangel, the tireless coordinator of all these events! Thank you all! Anima – May Sad News (C1205-Mochi)!

C1205-Mochi (M) was rescued on 25th May 2016 and died today! Mochi, on the time around three days old, was rescued by Anima, after a call from Mr. Tai reporting that a kitten was found at R. dos Ervanarios. Mochi was brought to Anima. He had a little nasal discharge and a small wound near the throat. He was doing well in the past few days but refused to eat last night. He passed away this afternoon. R.I.P. my friend! Anima – May Adoption (C1149-Vocca)!

Vocca was adopted by Ms. Ho on 29th May 2016! C1149-Vocca, together with C1146-Jinn, C1147-Visky, C1148-Borbon and C1150-Rum were born on 29th March 2016 by SPPC1128-Maxi at Anima. Maxi was rescued in Taipa on 19th February 2016 and was found pregnant before neuter. Vocca stayed with us in Anima up to now. Thanks Ms. Ho! Please help us to help them! S010-Urian is a baby snake that entered in Anima and was rescued by our staff near the dog area. Anima receives sometimes this kind of visitors and our job is to help them to return to a safety place. She was immediately put in the mountain nearby. Anima – May Rescue and New SPP (SPP1729-Hac Chiu)!

SPP1729-Hac Chiu (M), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 28th May 2016, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that Hac Chiu was  getting skinny and his spirit and appetite were not good also in this morning. Hac Chiu is under our Special Protection Program now. He was sent to a clinic immediately for a  blood test. The report showed he has tick fever, severe anemia and high fever. Our dog 561-Brownie was sent to clinic in case Hac Chiu needs a blood transfusion. Both of them are staying in the clinic now. Thanks Ms. Peng! Never abandon your pets! Anima – May Sad News (C899-Marcus)!

C899-Marcus (M) was rescued on 18th February 2015 and died today! Marcus was rescued near Santa Casa da Misericordia, after a call from Ms. Law reporting that Marcus stayed in the same place for two days. Our rescued team collected him and took to a clinic as we suspected he was injured by a car. After several months with us under treatment we were not able  to save him! R.I.P. my friend! Anima – May Return and Abandonment (C821-Hogan)

C821-Hogan (M), with C822-Howar (M), on the time around six months old, were rescued by Anima on 24th October 2014 in Coloane> Their mother SPPC785-Jill was under our Special Protection Program from 22nd August 2014. Hogan was adopted on 13th January 2015. However, Hogan was returned today. Tha adopter informed that her landlord didn't allow her to have pets in the apartment. We disagree with her decision and consider this as an abandonment but we want the best for the cat. She should have fight for Hogan as any family should do! Please be a responsible owner! Anima – May Rescue (C1206, C1207)!

C1206-Vick (M), around one month old, with C1207-Viggo (M), around three weeks old, were rescued by Anima on 27th May 2016, after a call from Ms. Leong reporting that two kittens were abandoned in a container outside Paróquia de Fátima in Macau. We picked them up and they were checked by our vet. They were weak, skinny and dehydrated. Viggo was in a  more serious situation, he had fleas all over his body and hypothermia.
