Anima – May Sad News (1145-Tuga)!

Tuga passed away this morning due to a Thyroid Carcinoma! Tuga was rescued on 28th October 2013 after a call from our president reporting that he found a dog with a broken leg in Coloane. She had a leg surgery and her condition was getting better on that time. But we found that Tuga had a tumor on her neck and as so she was sent to  a  clinic to remove the tumor on 7th December 2015. It was a huge lump and the thyroid got removed together as well. The sample was sent to HK for further diagnosis and we got the biopsy report on 19th January 2016: she had a carcinoma! She died today and we lost a very good friend! Her body will be delivered to IACM for incineration and we will keep the ashes. She was like an old granny in our shelter, friendly and never fighting with other dogs. Sometimes...

Anima – May Return and Abandonment (1636-Bliss)!

Bliss was adopted on 6th March 2016 and now returned to Anima by the adopter! 1636-Bliss was born with 1629-Keira, 1630-Kole, 1631-Kylee, 1632-Skye, 1633-Stammi, 1634-Sorrel and 1635-Bonzel by the mother 1620-Ibbie in Anima on 12th January 2016. 1620-Ibbie was rescued by Anima on 6th January 2016 after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that Ibbie was pregnant and living in a construction site in Coloane. He was returned now and the excuse from the adopter was that a member of the family had an allergy. We disagree but we have no option than save him! He was socialized with his family today, all of them still not yet adopted, the mother 1620-Ibbie, the sibling 1631-Kylee, 1633-Stammi and 1634-Sorrel. Please Adopt and Never buy! Anima – Tai Long Needs a New Home!

Please help Tai Long! He needs a family! Tai Long (M), a Labrador Retriever, around nine years old, was abandoned by his owner and caged in a pet shop for four years without proper care. He got really sick and had to be sent to a clinic. He stayed there for a couple of weeks due to a kidney problem. The vet Ms. Laetitia  took care of Tai Long when he was sick and now she is moving out of Macau in two weeks time and she  doesn 't take him. Tai Long is very smart and playful with amazing personality and he is a  very good companion. He got all vaccination and he is completely healed. But he has difficulty to stay with other dogs. Ms. Laetitia suggests that who adopted him should not have other dogs. Please help us to help them! Thanks! Anima – Escola Choi Nong Chi Tai Visited Us in May!

Today, 44 people visited us, 19 of them were students from Escola Choi Nong Chi Tai! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! This year, up to April 2016, Anima received 2,598 visitors, an increase of 10.51% as compared with the same period of last year! The number of groups visiting us increased to 22 groups! C1188-Carmy (F), around ten months old, was rescued by Anima on 8th May 2016, after a call from Mr. Lei reporting that a cat was found in the Car Park of Van Sion Son Chun  two days ago. Anima – May Adoption (C1166-Alle)!

Alle was adopted by Ms. Sou on 8th May 2016! C1166-Alle (F), on the time around 1.5 months old, was rescued by Anima on 17th April 2016, after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that he found C1166-Alle hiding under the engine of his motorcycle in Patane. He took Alle out and delivered her to Anima. She was covered with engine oil and full of fleas. She was washed, checked and dewormed by our vet! Alle stayed with us in Anima up to now. May Temporary Accommodation (SPP1484-Daxon) !

SPP1484-Daxon and SPP1483-Dax were under Anima Special Protection Program from 26th June 2015, after a call from Ms. Ah Peng reporting that two puppies (on the time around 2.5 months old) were found sick somewhere in Coloane! Anima – May Return (SPP1691-Tiger II)!

SPP1691-Tiger II was released on 6th May 2016! SPP1691-TigerII, around four years old, is under our Special Protection Program from 28th March 2016! He was living in a construction site and our rescue team was responsible for him in the area. He was found not eating, getting skinny and with nausea. SPP1691-Tiger II was sent to a clinic for consultation and ran a tick fever test. The test result was positive. SPP1691-Tiger II stayed in Anima up to today when was released in good conditions!
