Anima – YMCA visited Us!

Today, 74 people visited us, 17 of them were from YMCA. Thanks for trusting us! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! This year, up to February 2016, Anima received 1,363 visitors, an increase of 24.1% as compared with the same period of last year! The number of groups visiting us increased also 42.9% to 10 groups! Anima – April Rescue (C1156-Shane)!

C1156-Shane was rescued on 10th April 2016! C1156-Shane was rescued by Anima after a Facebook message from Ms. Ng. According to Ms. Ng, she used to feed C1156-Shane in Patane but C1156-Shane had disappeared for a long period of time. When she showed up again, she was dehydrated and very weak. Ms. Ng sent C1156-Shane to a clinic for treatment and intended to return her to former place after recovery and de-sex surgery. But the doctor said it would take a month for C1156-Shane to fully recover. It was beyond Ms. Ng’s budget expectation and she could not afford the hospitalization fee. We picked up C1156-Shane and transferred her to another clinic for observation. She is under IV Dripping. Ms. Ng has paid the vet bill of the first clinic! Thanks Ms. Ng! Please help us to help them! Anima – April Rescue (C1155-Afia)!

C1155-Afia was rescued on 9th April 2016! Afia is the sibling of C1154-Akoni (M) that was rescued by Anima on 8th April 2016, after a call from Ms. Leonor yesterday, reporting that there was a cat mother with two kittens (around 1.5 months old) somewhere near a restaurant in Coloane. According to Ms. Leonor, there were four kittens before but the mother always hide the kittens under the raining water channels. Two kittens were drowned and died on Monday after the heavy rain and Ms. Leonor was worried about the rest of them. C1154-Akoni was being taken care by our cats’ supervisor Ms. Ah Peng temporarily as he needs milk feeding. We set up the trap again to catch the other siblings and the mother, under the support of the staff from the restaurant! Afia is also being taken care by Ah Peng! Afia was caught today! Anima – April Rescue (SPPC1153-Lucifer)!

C1153-Lucifer (M) was rescued by Anima after a call fromMs. Kan. Ms. Kan used to feed C1153-Lucifier somewhere in Taipa but she found him with skin problems a week ago. She sent C1153-Lucifer to a clinic for medical treatment and he was improving. However, C1153-Lucifer will need better care to stabilize the disease and needs to stay in the clinic for a long period of time. Ms. Kan could not afford the hospitalization fee, nor keep C1153-Lucifer in her house. We picked up C1153-Lucifer from the clinic today and Ms. Kan already had the bill paid. Thanks Ms. Kan! Anima – April Sad News (SPPC1152-Buffy)!

SPPC1152-Buffy, around 3 years old, was rescued by Anima on the 5th of April 2016, through Michele, and was under our Special Protection Program (SPP). SPPC1152-Buffy lived somewhere in Taipa and Michele was responsible for him in the area. She found him very weak and both eyes could barely open. She caught him that morning and brought to Anima. He also had yellowish discharge and his anemic, skinny and probably with fat liver. Heart and lungs were clear. Severely dehydrated and with hypothermia. He was not moving and refuses to eat. The prognosis was poor! He was in V6 under IV dripping, under close observation but died today! R.I.P. my friend! If you have capacity to adopt, please help us! Never abandon your pet! Anima – April Information about 1695-Wawa!

See Wawa now after a bath and when we rescued! Please Adopt her! 1695-Wawa (F) was rescued by Anima on the 1st of April 2016, after a call from Mr. Chiu reporting that 1695-Wawa was found in his working place somewhere in Coloane, that morning. According to Mr. Chiu, it is rare to see a small size dog in that area as most of the dogs living there are medium or large size, so she was probably abandoned. No microchip was found in Wawa. Anima – Dog under SPP returned (SPP1643-Toner)!

SPP1643-Toner was rescued by Anima on 27th February 2016, after our rescue team found him with an eye infection. Toner became our SPP dog since 27th January 2016 and he lives somewhere in Coloane under our responsibility. Toner was sent to a clinic for a consultation and he was diagnosed with tick fever. He finished the medication on 27th March and recovered from tick fever. He was castrated on 31st March and received the 1st vaccination. SPP1643-Toner returned to his place today living now again with his mother SPP1619-Hilder. Our rescue team is responsible for him in the area. Please help us to help them!
