Anima – January Rescue (C1113 to C1116)!

C1113-Byron (M), C1114- Shelley (F), C1115-Keats (M) and C1116-Eyre (F) were rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Lau reporting that four kittens were found in a plastic bag in a building at Rua da Alegria. Mr. Lau put them in a carton box temporarily as our rescue team went to Red Market to rescue them immediately. They are around two weeks old, now staying with us. Our Supervisor Ms. Zoe will foster them as they need milk every 3 hours day and night ! Thanks Mr. Lau! Thanks Ms. Zoe! Never Abandon your pets! Anima – January Adoption (1627-Wardell)!

1627-Wardell, along with 1625-Wallace and 1626-Walmond, were rescued by Anima on 6th January 2016 after a call from Billy, our vice-president, reporting that Ms. Ian referred to him that they were alone as several mothers in a construction site were caught by IACM. Those puppies had to go to Anima as the Pet Shop contacted by Ms. Ian could not feed them night time! Now 1627-Wardell was adopted by Ms. U. Thanks. Ms. U! Please Adopt and Never buy! Anima – January Adoption (1641 and 1642)!

1641-Sun and 1642-Kamsoon was rescued by Anima on 27th January 2016 after a call from Mr. Lee reporting that both dogs were bought by his friend in Macau and his friend left Macau without taking the dogs. He could not keep them anymore as he was going back to his country soon. We considered this as an abandonment but we wanted the best for the dogs. Now Sun and Kamsoon were adopted by Mr. Cheung. This was one condition imposed by Anima! Those two dogs always lived together, as so for us was a condition that they must be adopted together! Thanks Mr. Cheung! Please Adopt and Never buy! Anima – January Return to Family (1602-Ah Duo)!

1602-Ah Duo was accommodated in Anima since 11th December 2015 for 58 days, as an emergency by our member Ms. Leong. This is only accepted in extreme emergency situations as the maximum time allowed is 15 days! Today Ah Duo was returned to his family. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates. For dogs, 50 patacas per day and for cats 30 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 360). Non members or non adopters may exceptionally apply for this facility paying double, if we have space. Priority is always given to members and adopters! Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! Anima – 178-Zé Zé living very happy in Portugal!

178- Zé Zé (former Sebu) was adopted by Marina, our former Supervisor,  and flight on 8th December 2015 to Portugal to join her. Now see good pictures of Zé Zé, very happy, with the family and learning how to live with cats, a training not very easy for Marina. She is doing a nice job being patient enough to control this very difficult situation! Thanks Marina and Fernando! We will we all miss you my friend! Please Adopt and never buy! Rescue and Information about SPP Dog (SPP819-Gorgor)!

SPP819-Gorgor was rescued by Anima after a call from our volunteer responsible in the area reporting that Gorgor was bitten by other dogs somewhere in Coloane. Wounds in the size of a 10 cent coin was found above the left eye lid on his forehead, with other minor wounds. Our rescue team rescued him to Anima and our vet ran a surgery to stitch the wound. Gorgor was returned to the former place after the surgery with good condition. Gorgor became our SPP dog since 17th April 2012. We need more SPP volunteers! Never Abandon your pets! Anima – January Adoption (C880-Peach)!

C880-Peach was rescued in a very bad situation on 20th January 2015, after a call from Ms. Lydia reporting that Peach was found with a nylon cord wrapping the left hind leg in Av. de Kwong Tung (near Hillsville). It seemed like someone hold it so fast that the nylon cut his leg. He was sent immediately to a clinic as the bone of his leg was sticking out. According to the vet, the plastic straw caused ulceration of the foot. The skin on the foot was completely dead, destroying the paws and leaving the bones sticking out. The entire leg was without blood flow and cannot be saved only by amputation. We decided to save him doesn’t matter if he will be amputated! Now Peach was adopted by Mr. Ellison. Anima – The International School of Macao Visited Us!

Today 32 people visited us, 23 were students from ISM! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! 61 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us in 2015! 1644-Renni was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Eva reporting that a puppy was hit by a truck near Parque Industrial da Concordia. Renni passed away a long time before we arrived.
