Anima – November Adoption (C1057-Takisha)!

C1055-Tadita and C1056-Taina, both one month old, C1057-Takisha, C1058-Tadeo and C1059-Talon, all 2.5 months old, were rescued by Anima on 24th October 2015, after a call from Ms. Sophie reporting five kittens found in a plastic bag at Templo de Sam Po (Sam Po Temple). Anima – Statistics about Cats and Dogs!

<Jan-October 2015 (revised)> Anima has rescued in the period 333 animals, around 33 per month or more than one per day! Of those, 152 were de-sexed and the remaining is only waiting a recovery and the appropriate age. In the same period 142 animals were adopted. The huge death of animals is explained by the poor condition of them when arrived, or because they were already collected dead or by some diseases that sometimes happen in crowded shelters, even if we try our best to have a proper quarantine and hygiene. That is one of the reasons why Anima considers adoption a master issue! Anima adopts the policy of No-Kill and No-Cage, policies that limit our capacity to increase the number of rescues or oblige us to be more selective in our rescue operations! Anima – November Rescue (SPP1587-Kaden)!

SPP1587-Kaden was rescued by Anima for neutering. Kaden is now under our Special Protection Program. He lives in the construction site of a casino and Mr. Yum is responsible for him in that area. 1530-Jerome, 1531-Jeremy, both males, 1532-Joa and 1533-Jamie, both females, all one day old, were rescued by Anima on 22nd September 2015, after a call from Mr. Zheng, regarding four puppies that were born in his house by her dog, a Schnauzer. She was 15 years old and it was the seventh time she got pregnant. She had no milk at all! All of them were feed night and day time by our supervisor Ms. Zoe! Now 1532-Joa was adopted by Ms. Lio. Association of the Young Navigators visited us!

Today 57 people has visited us, 27 from the "Association of the Young Volunteers Navigators of Macau"! More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! In 2015, up to the end of October, we had 4,761 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 4,549 in the same period of 2014! 47 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us! November rescue and return (SPP748-Siu Lok Mui)!

SPP748-Siu Lok Mui was rescued by Anima for consultation after a call from Mr. Ah Seng reporting that he was vomiting and he has no appetite. Anima – November rescue (1585-Bo Bo II)!

1585-Bo Bo II, a 15 years old male dog, was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that she cannot keep her dog (1585-Bo Bo II) anymore as he always pee everywhere and this creates family disagreements. Anima decided to help Bo Bo with three conditions: the family should pay a visit to him every week, he must be capable to socialize with the old dogs in the Association corridor where we have 111-Ben, 1145-Tuga and 1439-Zac  and he must be friendly to people, as this is an area where visitors have access and the only place available for him!
