Anima – July Rescue (1504-Dorian)!

1504-Dorian was rescued by Peter that called us. He found Dorian last night in Hac Sa. Peter is one of our many friends. He has adopted 1298-Veronica from Anima. Emma, the wife of Peter, took the animal to Anima for us to check the microchip as this is always the  first thing we  do! Dorian had a microchip and after contacted IACM the owner will collect her at Emma & Peter's house! Thanks Emma and Peter for your kind gesture! This is what we call responsible community members! Anima – July Rescue (SPP1503-Jayne)!

SPP1503-Jayne, around four months old, was rescued by Anima during the feeding time as she was vomiting. She ate some poison, may be a poisonous plant. She was delivered immediately to a clinic as she had internal bleeding and needs to stay there overnight. She is now under our Special Protection Program! Please help them helping us! Anima – July Sad News (C953-Wesley)!

C953-Wesley was rescued by Anima on 22nd May 2015, after a call from Ms. Mok reporting that Wesley was found in Patio Da Quina and was bleeding a lot. Wesley was sent immediately to a clinic. He doesn’t have any fracture but some teeth were broken. May be he has fallen down from a balcony as he was very clean. Few days ago he was not feeling well. Sent to a clinic on 25th he died today there! R.I.P. my friend! Never abandon your pet! SPP1308-Ford was rescued by Anima after a call from our volunteer Ms. Lorus reporting that SPP1308-Ford had a wound on his shoulder. SPP1308-Ford was sent to a clinic immediately and had a surgery to take out the pus from the wound. He is staying with us until he recovers. Please help them helping us! Never abandon your pet! Anima – New Life Organization has visited us!

Today 34 people visited us, six were from New Life Organization! More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! In 2015, up to the end of June, we had 2,972 visitors an increase of 6.3% as compared with 2,796 in the same period of 2014! 32 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us! Anima –July Adoption (1462-Travis)!

1462-Travis was rescued by Anima on 8th May 2015, together with 1456-Tammy, 1457-Tala, 1458-Talia, 1459-Tessa, 1460-Tasha, 1461-Tamar, 1463-Tiago and 1464-Tora (the mother) after a call from Ms. Ho reporting that eight puppies and the mother were abandoned in a cage in Rua de S. Francisco Xavier. According to the neighbors, the puppies with the mother have been there in a cage from around 5:00am in the morning of that day! The mother and puppies were full of ticks and fleas and 1464-Tora (the mother) was not willing to eat. She was temporarily separated from her puppies until she recovers. The puppies were afterwards being feed at home in groups of four by our supervisor Ms. Zoe and our handler Mr. Ronaldo. Now Travis was adopted by Mrs. Sio. Thanks Mrs. Sio! Please do not buy! Anima – July Rescue and Sad News (C1001-Vasco)!

C1001-Vasco was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Cheong reporting that a cat was found in Rua do Campo and it may be hit by a car as he was bleeding and paralyzed. C1011-Vasco was sent immediately to a clinic. An X-ray showed the right femur was broken. He couldn’t move at all! He passed away in the clinic! R.I.P. my friend! Never abandon your pet! Anima – July Adoption of C868-Arista!

C868-Arista that was rescued on 25th December 2014, together with C869-Atina, C870-Ansley and C871-Allard, after a call from Mrs. Cheong reporting cats at Edificio Kak Cheong in Rua Um (Bairro Iao Hon), was now adopted by Thomas. Thomas is also the adopter C587-Scott. It was a very nice gesture from Thomas as Arista is blind of her left eye! Thanks Thomas! Please Adopt and never buy! Anima – International Roundtable on Greyhounds (II)– Visit to Anima headquarters!

Anima has organized on 23-24 July an International Roundtable on Greyhounds inviting 10 Animal Welfare Organizations from around the world. These were the participant organizations: CAWA-China Animal Welfare Association from Beijing, SPCA(Taiwan), SPCA (HK), Kirsten (HK), Animals Asia (HK), Animals Asia (China), Animals Australia, RSPCA (Australia), RSPCA (UK) and GREY2K USA Worldwide. On the second day (free day) those organizations that still were in Macau has visited us and received an explanation of the Macau situation regarding animals and Anima main challenges!
