Anima – July Adoption of C929-Lesley!

C929-Lesley was rescued by Anima on 24 April 2015, with the mother C926-Ladonna and five siblings (C927-Lea, C928-Lettie, C930-Lucian, C931-Loki and C932-Levi) after a call from Michele reporting that a cat gave birth to six kittens somewhere in Taipa. The mother was caught by our trap and all of them went to Anima after catching the mother! Now Lesley was adopted by Mr. Leung! Thanks Mr. Leung! Never abandon your pet! Abandoning a pet is cruelty! Anima – July Sad News (1501-Julissa)!

1501-Julissa was rescued by Anima two days ago, after a call from Mr. Albano referring that Julissa was between the road down to Grand Coloane and the water channel around the road. She could easily be killed by any car. She was moved by Mr. Albano to the bush around until Anima come to rescue. She was skinny, wounded, with most of the wounds full of maggots. A lot of ticks were found throughout the body. She was so weak that hardly could move and had hypothermia (BT: 35.6 C). She was sent to a clinic for a blood and tick fever tests. However, she didn’t survive! R.I.P. poor puppy! Please help us to find colonies of animals for neutering or spaying them! Never abandon your pets! C1008-Abbi and C1009-Aliza were rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Gina referring that Ms. Liss found two kittens in a site near Rua Nova à Guia. They are one week old. We “convinced” C999-Juicy the mother of some kittens (C1004-Trina, C1005-Tobias, C1006-Trenta and C1007-Tobin) to help us. Please see how she collaborated with Anima! Now she has six babies! Anima – Please help us to help our greyhounds!

Our on-line petition to the Macau Chief Executive reached today at 10:13 am the amount of 235,961 supporters! We have launched the petition on April and we have stopped collecting signatures after around one month as the majority of people prefers to do it on-line. In less that one month only going out for few days we have collected in Macau around 2,000 supporters! We decided to concentrate collecting supporters on-line and we have sent emails to all the 165 international animal welfare organizations that support our fight for the end of that business made with the blood of our greyhounds! 65 of these organizations are from Mainland China! On 23rd of July, Anima holds an International Roundtable on Greyhounds in Macau inviting 10 International Organizations, two from Mainland China, three from Hong Kong and one from Taiwan. Anima – SPP dogs Returned after Neutering!

SPP1424-Riordan, SPP1425-Rosine and SPP1426-Roxana are dogs under our Special Protection Program from February 28, 2015. They were taken to Anima on July 11, 2015 for neutering. They were returned today. If we could, we keep them. But we have no space for those who really are in danger! Mr. Ah Fung is responsible for them. Please help us to help them! If you know animals in sites and you or someone are able to daily control them, please register them in Anima under our Special Protection Program (SPP). We will neuter them and release afterwards! C970-Chanmi was rescued by Anima on June 17, 2015 after a call from Mr. Chan referring that he has found a kitten under a car near Rua de Domingos Belchior Carneiro. Anima – July information about animals (1486-Milk Shake)

How was Milk Shake when we rescued him and now after being cared by us! 1486-Milk Shake was rescued by Anima on 27 June 2015, after a call from Mr. Chui reporting that a Pomeranian puppy was found dying in a street at Ilha Verde. The puppy had no power to move. 1486-Milk Shake was sent immediately to a clinic by Anima. He was anemic and need to stay overnight for treatment! He was followed very carefully by our staff up to now and is almost prepared to leave us as we already decided who will be his next family! Please understand, only one family can take him! Deciding which is the best for him is not easy and many times we have to think also about the family and its needs! Every time we may not decide as you should like us to do!
