Anima – July Rescue (C1000-Spencer)

C1000-Spencer, around three years old, was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Tong reporting that the cat has fallen down from Victor Garden (Block 3) in Caminho das Hortas. The cat couldn’t walk properly and she asked us to help. C1000-Spencer was sent to a clinic immediately for an X-Rays. Never abandon your pet! Anima – Information about Animals (SPP1485-Hac Mui)

Please see Hac Mui before and after the surgery! SPP1485-Hac Mui was recued by Anima on June 27, 2015, after a call from the staff of a friendly association asking us to help Hac Mui. A lump was found hanging from her stomach. She was sent to a clinic immediately for surgery. SPP1485-Hac Mui is now under our Special Protection Program. She is not easy to handle! Anima – July Rescue (1491-Billy)

1491-Billy, around 1.5 months old, was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Hoi reporting that Billy was under the bridge on Fisherman’s Wharf. There was five puppies before and now there is only Billy. She was afraid that the typhoon will kill him. Even full we had no option! Now do you understand that these are the real situations that we should not have doubts? Is this the same situation of those persons that want to abandon their pets in Anima because they are pregnant? Sometimes threatening us with stupid comments on facebook because we tell “NO”? Anima – The Macau New Chinese Association visited us” !

Today 34 people visited us, 21 were from The Macau New Chinese Association! More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! In 2015, up to the end of June, we had 2,972 visitors an increase of 6.3% as compared with 2,796 in the same period of 2014! 32 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us! SPP1426-Roxana was found with a cut on her paw, during our rescue team daily supervision and feeding on sites on April 16, 2015. Anima- New space opened for kittens play: The Kittens’ Corner in B3

Anima decided to open to the public a space where our kittens are fully free. The life is always a risk, keeping animals caged is not our option. It will be never our option! Please visit the space and be very carefully as they are completely crazy jumping and running very fast. Move slowly, sit down and enjoy them! And if you like anyone please consider making an adoption. We suggest always the adoption of two as the cats need a buddy! They are very independent but they need and like to play, especially in these ages. The space called “The kittens’ corner” is located in out basement, pen B3! Anima – July Rescue (1487-Spring, 1488-Summer, 1489-Autumn and 1490-Winter)

Four puppies, 1487-Spring, 1488-Summer, 1489-Autumn and 1490-Winter were found abandoned in the middle of the road between the water company and Anima this morning around 8:55am. 1489-Autumn had a wound on her neck and all of them had skin problems. There are irresponsible members of the community that do not neuter their pets creating a lot of problems to us as we have no space. They try to deliver back to us animals that they adopted or bought sometimes even years ago, knowing that we are full. Sometimes we may understand, even disagreeing, but in the majority of times they invoke stupidities or lies like : “I am pregnant, the animal has worms that will affect my baby, bite my husband, my son, etc”.
