Anima – We have visited the International School of Macau with IACM!

Anima has visited in the morning the Primary 2 of the ISM. In last February we have paid a visit to its Kindergarten. Anima has invited IACM to participate with us in this visit as a sign of our good cooperation in order to teach the kids to be responsible with animals. Around 48 kids were involved in this event.  Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! Anima – A visit from APPT President Danny McDonagh and Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang!

Anima was visited today by APPT President Danny McDonagh and Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang. President Danny has supported us from 2013 up to now and Rational Live Events Macau Ltd, a company managed by him, has already donated to Anima around one million patacas being now our Gold Sponsor! A proportion of tournament player admin fees is donated to Macau based charitable organisations and Anima is one of them. To date since the inception of PokerStars LIVE Macau, this has meant tournament poker players have been responsible for donations of HKD$3,775,000 to a number of organisations including ANIMA, Caritas de Macau, Macau Child Development Association, Missionary of Charity and Artistry Windbox. Anima – Temporary Accomodation (SPP1123-Ruby)

SPP1123-Ruby (Maly) is now accommodated in Anima from 27 May to 2 June. Ruby was one dog under our S.P. Program that was adopted. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates. For dogs, 50 patacas per day and for cats 30 patacas per day. In case of members the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 360). Non members or non adopters may exceptionally apply for this facility paying double, if we have space. Priority is always given to members and adopters! Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! Anima – May Rescue (C956-Meijo)

C956-Meijo was rescued after a call from Mr. Ieong reporting that three kittens with their mother were found in his place at Estrada do Cemiterio (Santo António e São Lázaro" Social Service Centre). As the kittens were difficult to catch we used our trap. C956-Meijo was collected by our rescue team and she is staying now in Anima together with her brother C952-Denzel rescued on May 22, 2015. Ms. Kitty, one of our adopters, found a one week old kitten on 28 March, 2015 in Hac Sa Beach with no mother around. Anima – Dori with Denise, everything is going well! (865-Dori)

865-Dori was adopted by Denise on May 23, 2015. Dori was rescued on August 1, 2012 blind of one eye and with severe skin problems. The adoption of Dori is a proof that all animals are adoptable and can live at homes without problems: “she is doing great, and we are extremely happy to have her in our lives. She enjoys our daily walks, she even enjoyed a home bath and grooming after the beach and I think she has a big crush on the new bed”. Thanks Denise for helping us helping her! In one of our visits to the construction sites we saw a female dog that have just give birth to seven puppies. Anima is complete full otherwise we have put all inside our shelter. Anima – The Community Corner: Chihuahuas available for adoption

Didi and Nana were exported from Toronto to Macau by the parents of someone in Macau that informed us that she has already three dogs at home and is not available to keep them. These two Chihuahuas must be adopted together since they lived as so from the first beginning. DiDi and NaNa are eight months old, vaccinated and licensed, but not de-sexed. We are promoting these animals to help them even I we disagree with the argument used by the family. We advise you: if you are not able to handle pets you should not receive them. Pets are not stuff! Anima – May Rescue (B012-Greenie)

B012-Greenie was rescued after a call from Mr. Tang reporting that a bird was found under a motorcycle and was not able to fly. According to our rescue team he fall down from the tree nearby as seems the family was in the tree. We put him back in the tree as these birds usually can not survive in captivity. Thanks Mr. Tang! Birds are being severely affected by the huge growth of Macau and the traffic!
