Anima–February Sad News (215-Peter)!

<10-02-2022> 215-Peter (M), one of our senior dogs and rescued by Anima long time ago, got sick recently. He was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, his blood test’s results showed a little anemic and an infection. Pancreatitis test result was positive. Also, an Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) in the lumbar spine was making him uncapable to move his legs. 215-Peter was hospitalized, and he stood under treatment for each problem. Unfortunately, despite our efforts and from the clinic, they called us to inform that he did not survive. His body will be delivered in IAM. Please, help us giving them an opportunity to be adopted before it is too late! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-Macau Anglican College helped us!

<07-02-2022> Today, we were visited by 38 persons, of which two were volunteers from Macau Anglican College. This group gave us a precious help volunteering at our Dogs’ Shelter. Our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers for the commitment and support to our cause! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2021, we were visited by 10,589 people, compared with 10,495 visitors in 2020. Anima-February Adoption (C2642-Kiwi)!

<07-02-2022> Kiwi was adopted today by Ms. Preece! C2642-Kiwi (M), around four years old, and C2643-Jess (F), around one and a half years old back then, were rescued by Anima on 15th October 2021, after a call from IAM regarding no more space for cats. Kiwi and Jess were vaccinated, and they had microchip from IAM. Both were welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Anima and IAM cooperate in many of these situations to help as many animals as possible. Anima-February Adoption (C2464-Cheryl)!

<06-02-2022> Cheryl was adopted today by Ms. Ung! C2464-Cheryl (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 30th December 2020, after a call from Mr. Miguel regarding on 28th December, that a lady who was living in Centro International de Macau and supported by Anima for food, was hospitalized in Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário a week ago. According to Mr. Miguel, she has three dogs and around 13 cats at home originally. The cats were released to the terrace of the building, but the three dogs are still at home. Mr. Miguel hired a part-time helper to feed the dogs and cleaning the house, but he cannot afford the expenses for so long. He asked us help. Anima–February Sad News (C2694-Benz)!

<02-02-2022> C2694-Benz (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 31st January 2022, after a fakebook message from Mr. António referring that he picked up a kitten in the middle of Friendship Bridge and kept him temporarily inside his car. He asked us help. The kitten was picked up by our rescue team and sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, C2694-Benz was breathing with difficulty. Blood tests showed anemia, inflammation, and jaundice. Also, an X-ray showed some shadows on his right lung, suspected from a pulmonary hemorrhage. All were rescued and sent immediately to a vet clinic. C2694-Benz will be hospitalized until recover. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, he did not survive, and his body will be delivered in IAM. <02-02-2022> Jolly was adopted today by Mr. Diogo! A pregnant cat, C2665-Christy (F), around four years old and several kittens were rescued by Anima on 28th November 2021. She gave birth to four kittens, C2669-Jolly, C2670-Smarties, C2670-Hershey, C2672-Tatranky, on 2nd December 2021, in our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Jolly found the love of a new family! A mother cat, C2682-Lisa (F), around two and a half years old back then, together with her four kittens, C2683-Lailah (F), C2684-Leanna (F), C2685-Loki (M) and C2686-Lester (M), all around three weeks old, were rescued by Anima on 27th December 2021. A couple days ago, we were asked for assistance, requested from Ms. Cheong reporting that her father had been feeding a cat on Edf. Industrial Kin Ip 8/F, where he works. However, he was retiring, and no one could continue to feed the cat. All cats, Lisa plus her kittens, were brought by our rescue team and welcomed to our Cats’ Paradise.
