Anima–January Sad News (249-Fido)!

<05-01-2022> 249-Fido (M), one of our eldest dogs, had been in Anima for long time. Very friendly and playful with everyone, he welcomes every single visitor in our shelter. Recently, Fido got sick from thyroid and his kidneys didn’t go well either. 249-Fido was sent to a vet clinic for treatment. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, he did not survive, and his body will be delivered in IAM. His ashes and memories of good old times will stay with us. R.I.P. our friend! <01-01-2022> On a sad note, our cat C1538-Sanna has passed away. Sanna had been rescued from Macau Municipal Kennel on 18 May, 2017, when she was eight months old. Since that day, she had been living in our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, Sanna was under treatment for several issues, including kidney and liver problems. R.I.P. our friend! Anima-December Adoption (C2498-Tako)!

<31-12-2021> Tako was adopted today by Ms. Che! C2498-Tako (M), a cat around four months old back then, was rescued by Anima on 31st January 2021, following a call from Ms. Chao reporting that a kitten had been wandering in Beco do Peixe Salgado for a few days. According to Ms. Chao, the cat was abandoned by a shopkeeper when the store moved to a different location. Our Rescue team visited the site and managed to rescue him after setting a cat trap. Tako was sent to a clinic for consultation and was welcomed to our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Tako found the love of a new family! Thank you so much, Ms. Che, for choosing to adopt! Anima–December Sad News (C2218-Mia)!

<30-12-2021> C2218-Mia (F), around one and a half years, C2219- Moochie (M), around one year and C2220-Marley (M), around six months back then, were all rescued by Anima on the 14th October 2019 from IAM due to lack of space. Recently, Mia had been under treatment for several issues, including anemia and kidney problems. Blood test results showed severe anemia and she has renal failure. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, she did not survive, and her body will be delivered in IAM. R.I.P. our friend! <30-12-2021> Aero was adopted today by Mr. Nuno! C2635-Aero (M), around two months old back then, was rescued by Anima on 28th September 2021, after being reported by our staff that there was a small kitten walking on the net on the top of our Cats’ Paradise. The kitten was wandering between our building and Free Area backyard trying to climb to the Escola Superior das Forças de Segurança de Macau next door, but failed. <29-12-2021> Lars was adopted today by Ms. Sou! C1826-Lassie (F), C1827-Lenni (M), C1828-Leinani (F) and C1829-Lars (M), all around eight months old back then, were rescued by Anima on 22nd January 2018, after a call from Mr. Yung reporting that he used to feed the stray cats in a building but there were some cats dying from poisoning. This group gave us a precious help volunteering at our Cats’ Paradise. Our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers for the commitment and support to our cause! Anima–December Rescue and Return (SPP1902-Farley)!

<28-12-2021> SPP1902-Farley (M), around four years old back then, has been under our SPP program since the 23rd June 2017, and now he is under Mr. Leong’s responsibility in Coloane Water Treatment Company. Recently, Anima received a call from Mr. Leong reporting that SPP1902-Farley was hit by a car. He asked our help. SPP1902-Farley was sent to a clinic through our rescue team. X-ray result showed a fracture. His right back hip joint already had a problem since long time ago. According to the vet, a surgery would have some risks and he would never have a fully recover from it. SPP1902-Farley was staying inside a cage for two months treatment, to limit his mobility and recheck after that time. The fracture part healed by itself.
