Anima–December Rescue (SPP1596, SPP1628)!

<01-12-2016> SPP1596-Basia (F), on the time with an estimated age of one year old, together with her siblings SPP1592-Benton, SPP1593-Bevis, SPP1594-Bond, SPP1595-Benton, SPP1597-Belva and the mother, SPP1598-Benita that were under our Special Protection Program since 4th December 2015, lived in a site, somewhere in Coloane. SPP1628-Hakon (M), on the time with an estimated age of five years old, was under our Special Protection Program since 9th January 2016, after a call from Mr. Chan reporting that Hakon refused to eat for few days. He was sent to a clinic for consultation. The blood test showed that he was severely anemic. Hakon had recovered and was returned to his former place on 6th March 2016. Basia and Hakon were caught by IACM on 8th November 2016 in a road of Ka Ho and they were rescued by Anima on 1st December 2016. Hakon is under medication now as he has tick fever. Anima–December Rescue (C1347-Dicey)!

<01-12-2016> C1347-Dicey (M), with an estimated age of two years old, was rescued by Anima on 1st December 2016, after a call from our staff reporting that a cat was found inside our cat trap on the ceiling of our Cat Paradise. Dicey was checked by our vet and dewormed. He has Upper Respiratory Tract Infection, severe Stomatitis and Gingivitis. Some premolar and molar were missing. He is under observation now. <30-11-2016> 1821-Kamo (M), with an estimated age of ten years old, was rescued by Anima already dead on 30th November 2016, after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that a dog body was found under a truck in Seac Pai Van. Anima–November Rescue (C1346-Kara)!

<30-11-2016> C1346-Kara (F), with an estimated age of three years old, was rescued by Anima on 30th November 2016, after a call from Mr. Ferreira reporting that a cat needed our help. According to Mr. Ferreira, his friend had over ten dogs and one cat at home, but his friend disappeared suddenly and the contract of the apartment will be finished on 1st December. Mr. Ferreira also mentioned that his friend didn’t treat the animals well. Most of his dogs were adopted already and only one dog and one cat was not. The last dog was picked up by another animal association and we took over the cat. Kara was checked by our vet and dewormed. She is staying with us now. Thanks Mr. Ferreira! Rescue and Temporary Accomodation (SPPC1324-1327)!

<29-11-2016> The mother, SPPC1324-Polly (F), on the time with an estimated age of three years old, together with her kittens, SPPC1325-Becky (F), SPPC1326-Sawyer (M) and SPPC1327-Huck (M), on the time all with an estimated age of 1.5 months old, were under our Special Protection Program (SPP) and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 7th November 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Polly had upper respiratory infection and the breathing was not clear. Becky, Sawyer and Huck had eye discharge and inflammation. They were returned to their former place after dewormed and medication prescribed in the same day. Today they were brought to Anima again. Polly is staying with us to be spayed. Rescue and Temporary Accomodation (SPPC1318-Squiggle)!

<29-11-2016> SPPC1318-Squiggle (M), on the time with an estimated age of three months old, was under our Special Protection Program and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 24th October 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Squiggle was brought to Anima because he was slightly dehydrated and very skinny. He had upper respiratory infection and got watery discharge on both eyes. He was returned to the former place after the medication was prescribed in the same day. Today he was brought to Anima again as he was found sneezing, the mandibular lymph nodes were swollen as well. <28-11-2016> 1819-Kit Kat (M), with an estimated age of six days old, was rescued by Anima on 28th November 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that a puppy was found in Rua de Francisco Xavier Pereira in a carton box. Anima–November Rescue and Sad News (SPP1820-Beatles)!

<28-11-2016> SPP1820-Beatles (M), with an estimated age of ten years old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 28th November 2016, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a dog was hit by a truck in a site of Macau. He was limping and refused to eat since three days ago. Beatles was sent to a clinic and a x-ray showed that his bladder was broken. A surgery was performed but the damage of the bladder was too severe to fix. After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put him sleep.
