Anima – February Rescue (C1123-Cintia)!

C1123-Cintia, around three years old, was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Vanessa reporting that a female cat was found shaking, with a big belly and skin problem on the street somewhere in Macau. Our rescue team went to the site and found the female cat and two other kittens in a car park nearby. According to an employee of the car park, the cats had been living inside the car park together since a week ago. He asked us to collect the cats. We set a cat trap and one of the kittens, C1122-Crackie was rescued to Anima yesterday. C1123-Cintia was rescued by Anima today. Thanks Ms. Vanessa! Never Abandon your pets! Anima – February Rescue (C1121-Sewell)!

C1121-Sewell, around three years old, was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Lau reporting that a cat was found dying in a building near Calçada do Januario and she asked us to help. C1121-Sewell was sent to a clinic immediately and he had to stay there overnight. An X-Ray and blood test will be done to determine the health condition of Sewell. Thanks Ms. Lau! Anima – February Rescue (1657-Watts)!

1657-Watts, around two days old, was rescued by Anima after a call from our volunteer Mrs. Lo reporting that five puppies with the mother were found somewhere in Macau. She was worried about all of them as the mother was skinny and the place where they stayed was dangerous. Our rescue team went to the site, and four of the puppies with the mother were disappeared. One puppy, 1627-Watts was found left in the area. We decided to keep him because he needs milk feeding. 1627-Watts will be taken care by our Supervisor Zoe temporarily as he needs to be fed every three hours! Thanks Mrs. Lo! Thanks Zoe! 1656-Granger, around 2.5 months old, was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Laurie reporting that a puppy was found inside a box with towel in Hac Sa Beach yesterday. According to Ms. Laurie, Granger was very clean and well taken care of when she was found. Granger was abandoned! Ms. Laurie kept Granger at home overnight, but her dog was not friendly to Granger, so she asked us to help. Granger was brought to Anima by Ms. Laurie today. Thanks Ms. Laurie! February Rescue and New SPP Cat (SPPC1119-Mother Cat)!

SPPC1119-Mother Cat, around seven years old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima after a call from Michele reporting that SPPC1119-Mother Cat gave birth a few months ago and she needs to be spayed and vaccinated. Mother Cat lives somewhere in Taipa and she was brought to Anima by Michele. Both of her ears were very dirty, mandibular lymph nodes were enlarged, skin lesion found on the neck and the back of both ears and the gums were red and inflamed. We are keeping an eye on her! THIS IS A SERIOUS ACT OF CRUELTY! HOW LONG HAVE WE TO SEE THOSE ACTS WITHOUT THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE BEING  PUNISHED? WHEN DO WE  HAVE A LAW FOR PROTECTING ANIMALS AGAINST THESE DEPLORABLE AND INFAMOUS ACTS OF CRUELTY? 1652-Terris, a two years old dog, was rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Fong reporting that 1652-Terris was found injured in front of Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional. When our rescue team arrived, 1652-Terris was lying on the street with the nose bleeding. According to a witness, Mr. Tang, he was on the motorcycle and saw five people beating the nose of a dog with a hammer and a stick. They were inside a Blue Toyota (the plate number will be reported by Anima to the Police) so Mr. Tang chased the car and yelled at them.
