C954-Cato and C955-Cayla were rescued after a call from Mrs. Hui reporting that Cato and Cayla (the mother) were part of a group of seven cats living in a construction site. People there seemed not happy seeing community members feeding the animals. She was also worried the workers will poison the remaining two as three already have disappeared suddenly. Brandon, was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Wu reporting that there is a dog (now SPP1467-Brandon) hit by a car few days ago in a gasoline station. The staff gives food to him and he stayed there since one week ago. As they can not afford to pay the vet bill Anima is helping. He was sent to a clinic for surgery and the cost will be around 10,000 patacas, fully paid by Anima. He will stay confined in Anima for a period of 10 days after surgery. Anima – May Rescue of eight puppies and their mother

1456-Tammy, 1457-Tala, 1458-Talia, 1459-Tessa, 1460-Tasha, 1461-Tamar, 1462-Travis, 1463-Tiago and 1464-Tora (the mother) were rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Ho reporting that eight puppies and the mother were abandoned in a cage in Rua de S. Francisco Xavier. According to the neighbors, the puppies with the mother have been there in a cage from around 5:00am this morning. The mother and puppies were full of ticks and fleas and 1464-Tora (the mother) was not willing to eat. She was temporarily separated from her puppies until she recovers. A good bath was immediately given to all of them before the frontline spray! The puppies now are being feed at home in groups of four by our supervisor Ms. Zoe and our handler Mr. Ronaldo.
