Anima-August Rescue (C2607-Millennium)!

<14-08-2021> C2607-Millennium (F), a cat around one and a half years old, was rescued by Anima on 14th August 2021, following a call from Mr. Kuan reporting that while passing by Avenida de Horta e Costa he found an injured cat at San Mui supermarket entry. Our team was dispatched immediately and Millennium was found with blood on her mouth, nose and left eye. She has no microchip and was sent to a clinic immediately. Between several health issues, Millennium was dehydrated, has a pelvis fracture and both her upper and lower jaw are broken. Her eye has conjunctival swelling and right hind leg has a deep open wound. She will remain hospitalized and will be subjected to surgery as soon as her condition stabilizes. Anima-August Rescue and Return (SPP2385-Happy)!

<11-08-2021> SPP2385-Happy (F), around one year old, became under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 26th July 2021, under Mr. Io's responsibility. Today, SPP2385-Happy was sent to a clinic to desex. A blood test was done in the clinic, and she was healthy enough to receive the surgery. After it, SPP2385-Happy was returned to her place. Anima will help with the neutering surgeries and promotion for adoption. Hope we can find a new home for her! Please help us to help them! Anima-August Rescue (C2605-Gelato)!

<10-08-2021> C2605-Gelato (F), around one and a half month old, was rescued by Anima on 10th August 2021, following a call from Ms. Lam reporting that a kitten C2605-Gelato was on a tree in Macau Reservoir. Ms. Lam stayed there over fifteen minutes and C2605-Gelato seems cannot go down by herself, she kept meowing all the time. Our Rescue Team arrived and caught her. Anima–August Rescue (C2601, C2602)!

<08-08-2021> C2601-Alyssa (F) and C2602-Kristoff (M), both around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 8th August 2021, after a call from Mrs. Chiu reporting that some kittens were wandering in Ilha Verde. We were also informed that one of them, a sibling of Alyssa and Kristoff, has sadly been killed by dogs in the area recently. The mother of the cats was never seen. Anima-New SPP dogs (from SPP2380 to SPP2388)!

<26-07-2021> Nine dogs were registered under our Special Protection Program (SPP) today: SPP2380-Dong Dong (F), around three years old; SPP2381-Michael (M), around six years old; SPP2382-Runny Nose (M), SPP2383-Lubby (F), SPP2384-Paco (F), SPP2385-Happy (F) and SPP2386-MiMi (F), all around one year old; as well as SPP2387-Billy (M), four years old and SPP2388-Chung Chung (F), 17 years old. We received a call from the owner of the dogs, Mr. Io, seeking our help as he has lost his job in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is struggling to take care of them. Runny Nose, Lubby, Paco Happy, and MiMi were born by the mother Dong Dong and father Michael (F) in June, 2020. These seven are of Cane Corso bread, an intelligent, active, independent breed which demands a certain care, as they can grow up to be 60 Kg. Anima–July Rescue (C2600-Ballon)!

<25-07-2021> C2600-Ballon (M), a cat around one and a half years old, was rescued by Anima on 25th July, 2021. Anima was contacted by CPSP at 4:18am reporting that a cat had fallen from a high-rise window into a balcony at ‘The Residencia Macau’. Ballon was rescued by our team in critical condition and immediately sent to a clinic. X-Ray results revealed internal bleeding and a spleen rupture. Sadly, he would pass away in the clinic at 10:05am. R.I.P.! The owner recognized the cat and confirmed he fell out from an open window in her house. The body of C2600-Ballon was collected by IAM for autopsy to determine the cause, mode and manner of death. The owner was punished by a fine in accordance with the Animal Protection Law of Macau.
