Anima–November Rescue (C2424-Alphard)!

<08-11-2020> C2424-Alphard (F), a kitten around three months old, was rescued by Anima today, following a demanding rescue operation carried out in cooperation with the Fire Department. In the afternoon, we received a call from Ms. Sio reporting that a kitten was trapped inside her car in N.A.P.E. The Fire Department had already been mobilized, but the kitten remained stuck after more than one hour of unsuccessful attempts. They asked us for help. After some effort, our staff managed to lure the kitten and slowly pull her out between the different components of the car's engine. Alphard was then sent to a clinic, where she is now hospitalized receiving a full health check. We are grateful for the support of everyone who helped out in this rescue! Please help us to help them! Anima–November Rescue (C2423-Cloudy)!

<06-11-2020> C2423-Cloudy (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 6th November 2020. After we received a facebook message from Ms. Ng referring that her mother saw C2423-Cloudy, a kitten suspect to run over by a car near Marine and Water Bureau. The kitten was bleeding from his nose and eye. Her mother picked up the kitten and brought him back home. They ask us for help. Ms. Ng has two cats already and have no conditions to keep him. Our Rescue Team went there and picked up Cloudy directly to a clinic. According to the X-ray results, everything seems to be fine. Only his health condition should be followed up on the next two days as he was dehydrated. C2423-Cloudy was welcome to Cats’ Paradise and stay now under quarantine. Thanks, Ms. Ng! <05-11-2020> T033-Prima (F) and T034-Primo (M), two turtles of unknown age, were rescued by Anima on 5th November 2020, in Rua da Penha when one of our staff found them abandoned in two small containers at the entrance of a building. Anima–October Rescue (2309-Kimchi)!

<30-10-2020> 2309-Kimchi (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 30th October 2020, after we received a call from Ms. Sophie reporting that she found a dog, 2309-Kimchi, lying on the grass area of the pedestrian road. Kimchi was inactive, breathing fast and unconscious near the roundabout of a Coloane’s car track. Ms. Sophie asked us help. Rescue Team went to the place and Kimchi was sent to a clinic immediately. During the trip, she had two strong seizures. X-ray and blood test in the clinic showed that everything is fine, but vets suspect she has neurological problem. 2309-Kimchi stays in the clinic under observation and medical care. Anima–October Rescue (C2420-Hiro)!

<27-10-2020> C2420-Hiro (M), around six weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 27 October 2020, after received a call from Ms. Wong reporting that she saw a kitten being chased by four dogs and hidden between the rocks on an abandoned site on Rua de Viseu, two days before. Rescue Team went there and found the kitten hidden in a hole on the slope at the site. C2420-Hiro was sent to a clinic to check his weak hind legs. According to the vet, X-ray results showed no fracture and Hiro was maybe limping due to a neuron problem. C2420-Hiro was welcome to our Cats’ Paradise with prescribed medication. Thanks, Ms. Wong! Anima–October Rescue (B174-Budgia)!

<22-10-2020> B174-Budgia, an adult turquoise conure, was rescued by Anima on 22 October 2020, after we received a Facebook message from Ms. Liu reporting that she found a bird, B174-Budgia, falling on to the streets near Edf. Fong Ieng. She asked us help as the bird cannot fly and is used to humans’ interactions with him. B174-Budgia was sent to a clinic with Ms. Liu’s help and he stays safe under observation for now. Anima–October Rescue (C2419-Aria)!

<22-10-2020> C2419-Aria (F), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 24 October 2020, after a call from Mr. Pao asking if ANIMA could collect a kitten that have fallen from somewhere into the patio in Sun Star Plaza block 1 in Av. do Hipódromo. He asked us help. After our rescue team manage to collect C2419-Aria, the kitten was sent to a clinic for an X-ray and acknowledge from Mr. Pao. According to the vet, there are no internal nor external injuries. Although, it was suggested to Anima to observe the kitten’s health for a while. Anima-October Return and Rescue (1502-Saskia)!

<21-10-2020> 1502-Saskia (F), a dog around nine years old, was originally rescued by Anima on 21st July 2015, when she was four years old, being found limping in Rua do Visconde Paço de Arcos. She would recover and was adopted on 16th December 2016. Sadly, she was returned to our shelter on 19th December 2016, as the adopter claimed his daughter had an allergy. On 26th January 2017, she would be adopted once again, by a different adopter. Recently, in the beginning of this month, we received a call from Saskia adopter's mother claiming that Saskia has behaviour problems, bites things at home, including furniture, and even wounded herself. They claimed to have taken Saskia to a clinic and an animal trainer already, without improvements. We informed that returning Saskia to a shelter wouldn’t, unfortunately, minimize the issue.
