<17-04-2020> C2318-Elm, black color and C2319-Eagle, brown color and both males around one month old, were rescued by ANIMA on 17th April 2020, after we received a message in facebook from Ms. Si asking for help as she saw two kittens crying in the bushes of Estrada Lou Lim Leok, Taipa. Anima–April Rescue (SPP2256-Kelsie)!

<16-04-2020> SPP2256-Kelsie (F), around 6 months old and now under our SPP at Ka Ho Workshop, was rescued by Anima on the 16th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that the female dog had not been seen eating for 5 days and vomited a yellowish fluid. Kelsie was sent to the clinic for make medical exams. Results showed that SPP2256-Kelsie is positive for anaplasmosis (bacterial infection). SPP2256-Kelsie will be staying in Anima for treatment. Anima–April Adoption (C2317-Akita)!

<16-04-2020> Akita was adopted by Ms. Lam, today! C2317-Akita (M), around 4 years old, was rescued by Anima on the 15th April 2020, after a call from ARTM reporting that a stray cat entered in their center and he had a swollen leg. Anima set up a cat trap to catch him there and we were informed by Ms. Lam that the cat went inside. C2317-Akita was sent to a clinic to check the right front paw which was swollen. According to the vet, he has a small fracture, but he doesn’t need surgery. Akita was adopted today by Ms. Lam! Thanks, Ms. Lam! Please, Adopt and Never Buy! Anima–April Rescue (2257-Pitt)!

<16-04-2020> 2257-Pitt (M), around 3 months old, was rescued by Anima on the 16th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a puppy had been injured from a dog fight in Coloane near Escola de São José de Ka-Ho. The puppy, 2257-Pitt, belongs to a family of 9 puppies and Ms. Peng found out that he has a very big wound with worms on the back of his neck. He was immediately sent to a Clinic for treatment. According to the vet, 2257-Pitt was severely anemic, need to put him under IV fluids and might need a blood transfusion. 2257-Pitt will be hospitalized for at least 2 weeks. Thanks, Ms. Peng! <15-04-2020> C2316-Lucka (F), around 1 month old, was rescued by Anima on the 15th April 2020, after a call from Mr. Li reporting that a small kitten was found alone on the construction site opposite to Mercado Municipal de S. Lourenço where he works. The kitten was very weak, cold and had discharge on the eye and nose. She was sent immediately to a Clinic. C2316-Lucka stay under medical observation tonight. <13-04-2020> B145-Oasis (M), an oriental Magpie-Robin, was rescued by Anima on 13th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Ana reporting that a bird, B145-Oasis bumped into her balcony window in One Oasis (Block 8) this morning. The bird was sent to a Clinic for consultation. According to the vet, B145-Oasis has no injury. He should be released as soon as possible as wild birds are afraid of people and very difficult to survive without foraging. B145-Oasis will stay in the clinic only today for recover. Anima–April Rescue (SPP2255-Lek Chai)!

<11-04-2020> SPP2255-Lek Chai (M), around seven months old and under our Special Protection Program (SPP) now, was rescued by Anima on 11th April 2020, after a call from Mr. Cheong, a fireman reporting that a puppy was shivering and unable to move with excessive fatigue in his working area of Corpo de Bombeiros de Coloane. According to Mr. Cheong, SPP2255-Lek Chai lives with his mother in the mountains behind his working area and usually they are wandering near, looking for food. Lek Chai was sent to a clinic for further examination. He has severe Demodicosis which lead to skin lesions, skin infections and hair loss (alopecia) with some diffused bleeding wounds over his body.
