Anima-September New SPP Dog (SPP2405-A-Mui)!

<18-09-2021> SPP2405-A-Mui (F), a dog around seven years old, was registered in our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 18th September, 2021. She’s living under Mrs. So’s responsibility in Hac-Sa, Coloane. Today, A-Mui was rescued by Anima for a medical check-up in a clinic, as some wounds were found on her neck. She was safely returned to her original site after treatment. Through our SPP Program, we have been extending our support to a broad number of animals living out of our shelters, under the responsibility of volunteers. A solution found years ago to overcome the problem of overcrowding in our shelters. Please help us to help them! If you want us to help them, you must help us adopting or fostering! <04-09-2021> SPP2397-Hazel (F), a dog around three years old, is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP). Hazel is living under Mrs. So's responsibility in a site in Hac Sa, Coloane. Today, Hazel was rescued, spayed in a clinic and safely returned to her usual site after surgery. These efforts are part of Anima’s commitment to reduce the number of stray dogs in Macau. Anima-August Rescue (C2620-Miley)!

<30-08-2021> C2620-Miley (F), around one month old, was rescued by Anima on 30th August 2021, after a call from Ms. Teresa reporting that a kitten had fallen from a high wall in her enclosure and wandered into her yard. The yard was surrounded by a high wall and a vacant school building is located on the back of the wall. According to Ms. Teresa, the mother cat has been living here for a while and she frequently wandered on the high wall for a rest. It was the fourth kitten that had fallen from her enclosure and two of them, C2368-Lazaro was rescued from the same area by Anima on 6th July 2020, C2555-Lollipop was rescued from the same place by Anima on 21st March 2021. Anima-July Rescue (SPP2373, SPP2374)!

<03-07-2021> Three dogs under our SPP program received assistance from Anima on 19th June 2021. SPP2373-Aerobic (M), SPP2374-Queen (F) and SPP2375-MoMo (F), all between two and three years old, live in a Ka-Ho car shop under Mr. Ng's responsibility. They were registered under our SPP program the day before, when Mr. Ng has asked us for help as Aerobic showed up with a head injury. Queen and MoMo also have health issues and have been losing weight. Our team managed to rescue Aerobic and Queen and sent them to a clinic. The wounds of Aerobic were treated and he returned to his original site after consultation. SPP2374-Queen, however, had severe anemia and a blood transfusion was needed. She tested positive for Ehrlichia, Babesia Canis and Anaplasma. One of our dogs, 1607-Eerika, was brought to the clinic for blood donation. Anima-June New SPP Cat (SPPC2593-Isabel II)!

<29-06-2021> SPPC2593-Isabel II (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 29th June 2021, through Ms. Carla’s help reporting that she found a new cat that was skinny and limping in the Patio where she works on Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro. She asked us help. A cat trap was lent, and SPPC2593-Isabel II was collected to go to a clinic. X-ray exams showed a left leg fracture. SPPC2593-Isabel II stays in the clinic for further procedures. He suffers from severe conjunctivitis and was rescued by our team today and sent to a clinic. <27-06-2021> SPP2374-Queen (F), a dog around three years old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 18th June, 2021. She’s living in a Ka-Ho car shop under Mr. Ng’s responsibility. Queen is having some health issues and was rescued by our team and sent to a clinic on 19th june, 2021. She had severe anemia and a blood transfusion was needed. One of our dogs, 1607-Eerika, was brought to the clinic for blood donation. Queen also tested POSITIVE for Ehrlichia, Babesia Canis and Anaplasma.
